Time Capsule from PoE Closed Beta -- a classic PoE vs D3 thread circa 2012

Blizz hasn't 'fumbled' any balls.
You just don't like the game, but for some reason nearly everyone with that opinion acts like the game is bad. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters.

" Typically it's seen as bad form to preface every statement with "in my opinion" because the implication is tacit. While it's true that I dislike what I've seen so far of D3, especially when it comes to the game's mood/atmosphere, I have no idea if D3 is "bad" or not, it just doesn't appear anywhere near as good as PoE. Given what Blizz is/should be capable of, that's a fumble in my book. Last edited by Nachash#4354 on Apr 5, 2012, 7:28:07 AM

" If anything I think it's a cool step by blizzard to try something different. Anyone can make a skilltree, or let alone, a passives tree, work. This is a very new type of system, and I commend them for it. But yeah, everyone has their own opinions. It sometimes just seems like people who hate d3 can't accept that not every game is made for them. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters. " Yep, everyone does. Though there are some in this thread who don't seem to be able to accept that fact. My (or the OP's) disappointment with D3 isn't taking anything away from those who think its great (and again, I wish I could be one of them given how much I love the Diablo universe). But as I said before, the way some people are writing you'd think the stakes in this debate were a lot higher. Edit: sorry, missed your edit...funny enough I think it's the people who love D3 that can't accept that D3 isn't for everyone. Last edited by Nachash#4354 on Apr 5, 2012, 7:45:25 AM

/quote The stakes are higher, some of us (including me) will even feel the wrath of god. (Read some of the previous pages ^^) EDIT: This was in another thread, nvm. A damn good read. Well said. I can't help but agree with everything you pointed out in your post(s). I played this during the weekend for the first time because D3 was right around the corner, why would I "waste" time with another game. I am really glad that I did try PoE out. I am going to be pretty much playing this as much if not more than D3 (most likely more).

Actually nevermind, the religious fanatic guy was in another thread. My bad.

I'm pretty sure that applies to me(iyo), so you might as well say it. :P But nah, I have come to accept the fact that not everyone will play D3, mainly through the awesome posts of charan. Though perhaps it still applies to other people. ''Stand amongst the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters. The silence is your answer.''
