i remember how i got diablo 1, and didnt go to school from 14pm to 16pm cause i was hypnotiesed by getting to the butcher!

a long but good post OP, and i salute your support to GGG the game has potential, no doubt about it.

i love the skill tree system, i love the skill gem system, i love the currency system, now it just needs 2 more acts, a trading system(so much faith and trust you have to put into strangers xD), and some pvp which was as fast and exciting as diablo 2.

Almost all new releases these days are moving more and more toward user freindly content and (I hate to use this term) casual games. More and more features get removed so that... I don't actually know why so much is being removed. It doesn't make a game more fun, it just decreases the choices and is probably miles easier on design/balance perspective.

Unfortunately I am not on the beta yet, but comparing this game to Diablo and hearing it hits the mark from a Diablo vet really gets me excited.

I'll be doing my best to ensure that those veterans I know, who have formed groups on Facebook anticipating Diablo 3 (and are now not so sure about that decision), give this game a look. It's rough, rugged, gritty, cruel and full of things that want to kill you. And none of this will stop you from trying anyway.

And I couldn't say that about any other game than Diablo 1.

I was initially disppointed when i heard they making the art style to be more toon like. i even signed the petition to opposed it.. but somehow Blizzard pressed on.
Well, i thought that maybe they do better on the gameplay n style, or a new truely innovative design. So years went by again.


i was also excited again when i heard D3 is coming out. so i did some research into the gameplay video, the skills, etc.. i must says, i am very disappointed with the "skill tree". The more i see the gameplay video, the more i feel that its a kids game.. just go bash bash.
Gone are the skills that u need to think about if u wana put points into it. Its too simple!.
And dont u think its like a mini-WOW action rpg? And with only max of 4 players in a party.. i was immediately turned off by it.

in short i was totally disappointed with D3, and decided not to play it. In terms of capability and brand, they Shd have done better!

So off i went looking for new games.,
i came across a few upcoming n old gameswhich caught my eyes:-

C9
Seven Core
Magicka
etc..


then finally i run into POE.!

to end this, i wish every1 enjoys their game, whatever it maybe.. we are all different. if we are the same, there will be only "1 class".

Your patience is truly EPIC! It is exceptionally rare to find a person so level-headed and articulate, especially faced with such belligerence. You truly are a forum god :-)

You'd think your immortal soul was on the line the way some people have been ranting. It's not as if you are alone in your take on D3 or PoE. Just do a google search and you'll find several well written reviews arguing that PoE is what D3 should have been. In many ways I wish D3 had gone in the direction of PoE given how much I love the franchise but seeing as they haven't I'm glad GGG has picked up the ball that Blizz has fumbled.

I agree. I'm in the Diablo 3 beta and have played Diablo 1 & 2 a lot. Blizzard is trying to make a game for World of Warcraft fans, not diablo fans. And that is why they failed.

GGG need to communicate a lot more then, now the game has a paiement method to bring all those sad souls into this game :)
