3.5 Abyssal Summoner guide

have to say Bubonic trail is SOOOO good i just run the whole map without breaking phase (unless its boss)
I did some changes here and there and this build just melts everything

although
Syndicate on high maps is hard as for all builds i suppose
Physical reflect may become an issue if you forget to constantly summon

I am thinking that hale negator isnt that good after some point , looking for
a replacement, would love some suggestions

Hi Grimlock! Could you explain how you are reliably procing shock against bosses? TY

I don't know that it's reliable vs really high hp bosses.

Minions sit at about 35% chance to crit with charges. Lightning portion varies, but at a 100k hit, it's safe to assume 1 million hp bosses are shocked.

I don't know how the mechanic works vs 20 million hp bosses.

That devouring diadem looks pretty sweet. The extra mana would allow an aspect of the spider to fit in.

There are also some awesome veiled modifiers for helms. You could probably get some nice chaos / ele resist on a helm and free up a ring slot for chaos resist, hungry loop, voideye or suchlike
Ugh, so I socketed, linked and coloured my Grip of the Council today. I then finally did my uber lab and absentmindedly decided to enchant my gloves. I ended up getting this: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Commandment_of_Ire

Which totally breaks my EE setup! Not sure why GGG still haven't provided a way to remove enchants for idiots like me. I guess I need to sell mine and then get new ones...

I'm thinking about respeccing out of the little Charisma nodes (3 points) since I am only using one 50% aura at present. I think I would need two sets of mana reservation nodes to be able to comfortably use both haste and hatred?

Glad to see everyone else is also having trouble with Betrayal encounters in red maps. Interventions and Transport aren't so hard for me, but Fortifications and Research I kinda just skip on red maps. Hopefully when GGG do their patch this week they'll retune it a bit as well as rebalancing the sulphite economy. I want to be able to delve more since with soulwrest and bubonic trail you just get to quicksilver phase run all the way between nodes then hit the vaal skeleton button at whatever the encounter is. Very relaxing way to delve, wish I'd known about it last league!

edit: a colleague just informed me that i can quickly run normal lab to re-enchant them (and hopefully get something irrelevant this time) so I'll try that!

hello, this build intrigues me. i rerolled from WO Ele to a Eq/Vaal Eq Jugg to live through Syndicates and it's just not happening.

i'm sick of dying and this build seems like it can do them fairly safely.

what skills would we level with? when we transfer to specters and what not?

i've never played a summoner build in this game before and i feel like this is a good league to try it. i'm really really sick of dying lol. i'm not saying i'll be invincible, but i do like the idea of having meat shields and not having to be in melee range to do damage. WO was so so squishy, red maps were a pain.

i'll be able to afford a Soulwrest, but currency is kinda slim right now since i get triggerd from dying so much and havent been playing as much as i'd like. should other uniques/gear come before shroud?

thanks for answering my questions in advance, would love to take the plung and try it out but i had a couple q's before i did.

Hi Ryan,

Level with summon skeletons. At level 62, get a soulwrest with 6 sockets, and life becomes a lot better. This is the best item to spend currency on.

In this league, it seems going slow, giving your gems time to hit level 19 and 20 is the best way to go, regardless of your build.

This build is still squishy, as it focuses on damage first and being really cheap second. If you want a cheap build to map super safe and tanky, try stag's tanky soulwrest, or the awesome safety of projectile weakness and ranged minions: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2228787
Maybe worth the try to do a MOM variation with the devouring diadem giving Eldrich battery and picking some mana/es nodes instead the full life wheel. Much tankier for sure
Can we get a video for this build?

yea, it's fine tho. i think with phase run, quicksilver with adrenaline, and dodging i think itll be ok. so many meat shields and distractions, unless the syndicates teleport on top of you, it sounds really safe. when they do, you speed the heck away, sounds good.

thanks for the reply, already had a tabula so i got my 6L vaal skeleton set up going already. should i replace cold dmg with melee splash or somethin? right now im using arc to clear (it's kinda slow since its only on a 2L in my lifesprig) and vaal skeletons to kill any boss/harder enemy in seconds.
