If I just started POE, and followed the advises of OP I would quit the game within the first week.

New players should just enjoy the game their way, and eventually they learn how stuff works out best for them.

There are so many ways of playing this game, and how one person enjoys the game (trading like OP) makes it a completely different game from how another person likes the game, ie SSF like me and many others.
