I thought your post was pretty informative and laid out some genuine traps new players fall into. I can't count the number of posts on path of exile builds and question threads where some new player tries a build that requires 4+ mirror items and doesn't see anywhere near the same success.

"Why am I dying on t12 bosses" they ask, and I look at their build and they are 12 stat points and 450 exa away from being the guy who wrote the guide.

I've been playing only for two leagues and both leagues I got 6-links: this league the suggested endgame 6-link and last league a rare 6-link with fine rolls instead of the suggested Inpulsa.

Both leagues got my characters to over level 90, made it to T16 maps and killed a few guardians. I know it's no biggie, but it's not exactly 'stuck' on white maps.

Both characters were dealing decent damage and were relatively tanky.

Look for builds that work on Red Maps while carrying “Tabula Rasa” or 4link rare chest. There is a low chance you will have a “6link endgame item” in your first league. You will almost never farm currency required and will not be super lucky with loot.
