Announcing Private Leagues

Yeah, I'm pretty much convinced that everyone posting like this in the thread is fucking retarded. You obviously skipping right over pricing, you can buy blocks of player slots in 10s or 100s.

Whatever, it seems like a lot of people are just excruciatingly upset about the Diablo announcement (which is absolutely 100% justified) and aren't looking at this from any form of objective point of view. This is not at all comparable to Tencent, this is not at all comparable to what Blizzard did. Not even remotely close.

Yep there are a lot of really embarrassing posts in this thread. Either people being really hyperbolic, dishonest or just have serious issues with literacy and numeracy.

If you were one of the people who wanted private leagues and have issues or comments about the implementation then feedback is great.

If you have no interest in private leagues, move along, there's more announcements coming. This isn't the one and only big announcement and all we are getting.

Some peoples reaction here are really amazing, it seem like at least half the peoples posting here don't kow how to read, " pay to win league " " now league behind paywall " " overpriced cashgrab " ??????????
Most expensive servers ever.

Seriously? $12 for 10 people...for 10 days?

I could run that on my laptop at a fraction of the cost.
I'd rather have POE mobile... wtf GGG.
Calm, people, calm. This is not a pay to play league, ggg just said that in 3.5 you can pay to make your own league not you must pay to play 3.5

Just wanted to share my TEN(two) CENTS on the matter.

Community wise, I feel that custom leagues are being released at the wrong time. While it is a nice bonus feature, it will definitely lead to some sort of segregation of the community. There will always be members of the community who will be intrinsically supportive or opposed to the idea of paid custom leagues (especially among newer players who are unaware that this has been a planned feature all along), which by itself leads to division. Other plausible outcomes include players flocking to custom leagues created by Streamers/Other notable community members, which causes a massive decrease in the actual population of players in official leagues, thereby further splintering the community. The niche of custom leagues does not fit as well with the 2018 PoE community, who have become accustomed to years of content and a larger player pool.

This is my main concern with paid leagues. Streamers are too damn popular. Those that create custom leagues, the fans supporting them will follow.
Thats just completely desperate and sad. 0$ from me. Please don't be new Blizzard

if they be satisfied with results - it can be fully pay 2 play
Harsh RNG, fair trade is dead, botting everywhere, oneshot mechanic -=RIP=-
But then, the "normal" leagues will die sooner because of less players...... wth? O.o

ITS NOT A CONTENT BEHIND A PAYWALL, for christ's sake. You pay for server resources. How much of a retard you have to be to say thats a content. Its just an option for those that want more and harder and faster. Lets you want to have your own website. You made it all by yourself, but who will host it? ITS NOT FREE. People think that when the game is free then it means that they are entitled to have anything that game has to offer.

All the money is going to pay for the server host and if they still get extra money it's clearly going to be donated to african children dying of famine!

This isn't a cash-grab company!
