This just killed the official temp leagues. At the moment trying to play DHC is almost like playing SSF. No one to trade with, Delve HC has about 1/15th of the player base of Delve. In the last 48hrs delve peaked at 7,400 traders, DHC had 500
Introduce paid leagues and another good chunk of the already barely existent league HC playerbase, already gutted by the increasing number of obscene one-shot mechanics, will also leave.

So you might as well scrap the temp HC leagues altogether.
please Chinese companies stop destroying Western games. :(

Well on one had, this has been asked for many times over the years. However then GGG does the GGG thing and shows it really doesn't understand their own player base.

Yes it has been requested and talked about by GGG for years.

GGG never once said in all that time private leagues would be free. They always intended to charge for them. They always said they would have to do it in a way, that didn't impact the regular leagues.

They did exactly what I would expect every word of it. I think a lot of the people in this thread really don't understand GGG's vision any more.

Well that's...quite a surprise. You finally did it.

To not take advantage of the void league feature to make 'easier' options was a mistake imo. I have absolutely no interest in making this game harder. There you go appealing to the niche again.

edit: then again, I get why you couldn't do it. Streamers have the funds to run these leagues, and if they ran 'easier' ones, viewers would most definitely cry 'pay to win', even if said league never went near the competitive ones. Eh, just one angle that proves this is a bad idea.

Oh well, I only have 1 GGGold left anyway.

I told you too, you didnt believe me, well suck it. took em 6 years, they promised it mid-closed-beta

Apparently, Chris responded on the subreddit and confirmed they're not interested in making this anything but "pay-to-lose". In other words, any modifiers that would result in more luck, items, or fun, are out.

Are they so out of touch? No, it's the players who are wrong....
(2-3-2019) Buff underused skills (3.23?!)+ selfcast, stop nerfing defense, build in threshold jewels (3.23?!), implement D3-style looting, add death log + MTX preview, actually rework flasks, stop balancing around the .01%, unnerf Harvest, ADD NEW WAYS TO LEVEL, finally implement Loot 2.0
Should be interesting, but not for me /elite casual.
