Announcing Private Leagues

I think this is fine as long as ... there is no increase in rarity, quantity, or density of monsters in custom leagues unless the leagues that do have those things are voided.

As long as those criteria are met it is not pay to win and will give some a real real challenge to those that need it over the normal game.

I think it would be sick to give out a special iron man mtx to any that do all on the mods in hc and get to 100 tho lol

This is a fantastic feature!

I will personally probably not use it unless I get challenged by a friend to do it, however this is an insane feature for people that feel done with a league, wants extra challence and por people that feel the core game is too easy.

It is amazing for bigger guilds to run events. It is amazing for community building for streamers.

Not the least it is an additional income for GGG to make the game even better for ALL of us, not just the ppl paying for these private leagues.

TBH this takes nothing away from players not using it.

GOOD Feature!
hell ye brother
oooooooooooooooooooooooo
Dislike that idea. Opens up completely sellout f2p mode. China will show.

1. The ultra-end game is broken and unattainable in a league duration. It's not fun to spend a week building characters with friends just to find out that although they will push through even corrupt 8 mod t9 bosses, they will not only choke at t12+, but not even have the chance to actually improve further and overcome those bosses. Even the helpers in global end up just insta-dieing on those hardest of bosses. The only exception are those one or two specific broken unique item abusers that can exploit weird mechanics that end up getting patched out next league anyway.
7+ leagues of this exact same thing happening with well over 2 dozen builds all in that lvl 89-92 range, enough is enough. I won't play a game that's telling me every character I spent weeks to create was a complete waste of time.

red maps are much harder than yellow ones, yes, and the difficulty increases rapidly from t11 onwards. i couldn't find out which is your most recent or most developed character since you don't have one in delve league. not sure what builds and what level of gear we're talking about so i can't make suggestions.

what hardest of bosses? uber elder and uber atziri trash most players, sure. isn't that the idea behind the high end encounters? or do you mean red tier 8-corrupted bosses? not sure what characters these people on global play, but no decent build should insta die to regular bosses.

no offense, but "exploiting weird mechanics" sounds more like "i don't understand how things synergize" unless you mean the 100% immune pathfinder. you just need someone who really understands the game mechanics to look at your build and help you improve it. if you need a better guild that can help you get things done and improve your characters, send me a message.
Pretty boring mods to be honest.
I expected more interesting possibilities than simple flag (no trade/stash) or number adjustments (mob damage, speed, etc).

Price is okayish for 5+ players playing together but for solo players it is way overprized for what it offers.

I'm expecting more interesting league modifiers alongside the 3.5 announcement(s) the next weeks.

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body."

Only usable with Ethanol Flasks
Woke up at 4 AM and saw this in Reddit and I have to comment and give my support for this.

I'm psyched for these changes, I for one will not participate in them as I do not have time to play as much to give myself even a greater challenge. I'm happy that I'm able to enjoy Path of Exile streams going forward much more so, I believe. More Zizaran rips are always welcome.

The only drawback that I see for reg players is that items in trade will be fewer and thus probably more costly. Less players, less items up for sale = greater prices. I'm not an economics major, so someone correct me if I'm wrong with that assumption. With that said, I've played SSF last two or leagues, so even that doesn't really affect me unless I decide to jump back into a trade league. I might convert my current char to trade league at 90 so don't judge me if you see Glisayb not in SSF Delve.

Kudos to GGG for providing more options, even if they are behind a paywall. IMO, the pricing should be even higher. Sorry about how I feel about that for people who want to dabble in paid leagues.

Looking forward to playing some more POE, been with you guys since Beta and thank you for all the great years.

Most expensive servers ever.

Seriously? $12 for 10 people...for 10 days?

I could run that on my laptop at a fraction of the cost.

this is astoundingly idiotic.

I obviously don't know anything about their server environment, but let's look at it like this, 10 simultaneous connections for 240 hours for $12. if I were to go pay for a dedicated host machine at aws, arguably the cheapest rack space you can buy, a c4 dedicated host machine will cost, at a bare minimum, $420 for the 10 days of access. and this is only assuming there's a single connection that's open every second of the every day for 10 days.

$12 is incredibly cheap.
Oh NO NO NO NO
Well on one had, this has been asked for many times over the years. However then GGG does the GGG thing and shows it really doesn't understand their own player base.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
