Can frost sentinels be used against Uber Elder? Or should they be switched to something else?

they are working well for me,easy clear adds and long range,i havent tried others but there is a video on youtube for 8 types of Spectres T16 Maps, shows every details, the difference in damage is little that its barely noticeable.

Should we take +1 golem (4point or aloit) in this case?

@ ngtrungkhanh

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I can say you don't need to change anything in your tree, it's just a replacement of one of your rings (NOT the one with discipline) so that's probably skitterbots, a "noob" carrion golem or a curse (if you run around with mark of submission).

I'm kinda curious. I checked on https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds?skill=Summon-Carrion-Golem and it shows Minion Damage, Feeding Frenzy, Melee Physical and MultiStrike as being the top support gems for Carrion Golem. Do Ruthless and Hypothermia get applied to all non Golem minions?

@vincentk

Like I said I only tested it in POB (path of building) so far, also keep in mind that even it's most used, doesn't mean it's the best setup for our case or even at all.
There has been so manny changes in minions & their support gems since 3.8 that most people are stil figuring out what's the best to go with, same as me btw.

I haven't had the time to take another and beter look. Checking other builds was going to be my next step, but it seems you beat me to it. I'm not holding anyone back to help me or figuring it out for themselves, I'm just pointing it out it's an option to consider.
Thanks for the help all.

I'v seen previously this week some people discuss the "Hungry loop" viabilty and options here, just to lazy to find it again... So sorry if this is already said, but it seems to be as a viable DPS boost and can't be repeated to much.

Hnugry loop consumes up to 4 support gems, so it's a potential 5 link bonus for a fairly cheap price of 1C (for now).

I'v been playing around in POB, and found that a carrion golem would benefit us most DPS wise.

4 supports:
- minion damage (obviously)
- melee physical damage (carrion golem is melee after all)
- Ruthless (for all increase in melee, and more dps as feeding frenzy)
- hypothermia ( since we scale physcial to cold with gloves and have EE it gives the most DPS out of all options for the carrion golem)

It should be viable aprox 500K-800K more DPS in total, considering it also give all our other minions a damage boost and has quite good dps itself with the above supports (~135K)

I'll be setting my hungry loop up (in game) in the comming days, since you have to level gems from atleast 19 to 20 and do it 4 times it will take a while.

@Hercanic

Probably more viable as my chaos dmg variant I guess? :p

I run a fairly similar build to you and the best use I found for the Hungry loop is for 5L zombies so I can free up a slot for animate guardian.

I don't think my HL build is optimal for dps but I mainly want my zombies to give feeding frenzy and taunt, which the minion speed link does a good job of enabling. While carrion golem would be interesting, the dps boost it provides to our other minions seems minimal (~3%) and I don't think any gem other than empower would improve the aura.

AG, on the other hand, provides a ton of interesting options. I run Kingmaker and Victario's flight on mine for a culling strike aura, fortify aura, and 10% ms aura. I also run a helm that provides a -% resistance aura and life regen for the AG. Crown of the Tyrant is probably BIS for him, although its a pretty hefty 3.5 ex price.

edit: for people trying to find the right flask set-up, I also want to point out the utility of this flask:

Since we use hybrid life/es, this flask lets us regen both at the same time. the consecrated ground thing is a nice touch. It's a little expensive right now but well worth it in my opinion.

Hi guys, I got a pair of boots that has gems supported by lvl 20 fortify and lvl 22 spell totem. Ball lightning doesn't proc with cyclone due to spell totem support...

Is there any way around this?

Not a bad setup, perhaps even better if your guardian would be in hungry loop and you use a weapon like this for zombies (a claw would be better for healing):

That way you can create 6 linked zombies, and a 5 link guardian, compared to now with 5 linked zombies and only 3 linked guardian.

Not sure though what would give the most DPS , guardian or carrion golem, since hungry loop is so cheap I might make both just to see the difference in game.

The flask seems nice, but keep in mind the damage only works for yourselve and not your minions. The healing part does come in handy sometimes, especially for end game bosses where both life & ES are preffered to be full... I like to run arround with blood of Karui myself once I manage to get to the real end game that is. So far only minotaur surprised me, but mostly due to my sloppy & relaxed gameplay, and I only use 1 life flask.

I didn't manage to get to the shaper and uber elder just yet, but no fun in doing everything in the first week of the league right...

This is the one change I made to my build and it is a HUGE QOL change. This is the way to go if you are using cyclone. I can cyclone through a whole map in a minute then i just run back and pick up the goodies. It's that last line that makes it all worth it, plus you can anoint these.
Is it worth it to switch to deathmark from minion damage support on bosses?

For shaper Or elder, not really, because it's only 1 target minions have to attack, with feeding frenzy it will do just fine.

For Uber elder, where there is both shaper AND elder it can prove usefull to attack either one that can be damaged due to mechanics, making one them immune, yet still can be attack without getting damage from your minions.

Although I wouldn't replace minion damage, unless you have no other option, because it's one of the highest DPS supports for minions...

Hope that helps :)
