Fix the game

Applying -1000% to 10 definitely gives -90. (it's 10-1000/100*10)

To go from 10 to 1, you have to do -90%.
I struggle with the loot quantity issue. I mean, let's say I play for 20 hours and find 10 pieces of decent gear while 2,000 pieces of gear dropped. If I play that same 20 hours, 100 pieces drop and I still get 10 pieces of good gear, how does that break the game? How is that less fun? How is that more fun? I go back and forth. On the one hand, I would love to always feel like every piece of gear I identify has potential. Right now, every piece of gear we identify does have potential but we are rewarded on that potential so infrequently that many of us just stop picking up rares unless we're going to do the chaos recipe. That doesn't seem like a good loot system to me.

I don't know what the solution is but they keep adding more and more unwanted crap to the drop pool making it even less likely that you'll find something you can use. They never remove anything so the potential drops just keep expanding. We already have a mass of people complaining about shit drops and adding more shit to the drop tables is just exacerbating the situation it seems. There has to be a shift at some point, doesn't there?

Reducing something by 100% makes it 0 (ZERO). You cant reduce something by more than 100%.

You can, but only quantities that can go negative. The amount of loot obviously can't (would the enemies start taking items from your inventory or what?). I think it would be more common to say "change of -150%" than "reduced by 150%" though.

Resistances are percent numbers not integer ones.

And somehow "1000% less" is an integer number?

Let's try with some actual in-game "less" modifiers. Spell Echo gives 10% less damage:

If my damage without spell echo was 10000, how much do you suppose I'd do with spell echo?

Too subtle with such a small percentage? Spell totem support gives 35% less damage:

How much would the final damage be if applied to a spell that does 10000 damage without the totem?

Siege Ballista has 50% less attack speed:

If I do 2 attacks per second normally, how much would Siege Ballista do?

ARPG = Action role-playing video games. Meaning it's real time (not turn based) and involves role playing. Nowhere in that definition is the word grind = fun.

I play for fun. After a long day of work/ family/ kids, I would like to progress in a fun game. Not go back to work making digital game currency.

But OK, I AM SORRY! YOU GUYS WIN. I will play delve then move on to a less GRINDING gears game. Sorry I wanted to enjoy high level difficult engaging content without the Chinese grind factor. I guess this is the wrong game for it like you all mentioned.

As I said earlier in this thread, there are other games, they too are fun. You want challenging encounters without the need to grind? look no further then diverse boss battlers on steam. there are also tons of rpgs on the market. But unfortunately for you i don't know any!!!! ARPG game on the market right now that doesn't need the grind. Killing hordes of monsters with eyepleasing gutexplosions is always linked to random generated loot in these games. And that per definition needs the grind if only to minmax your character.

And i too play for fun :) But i actually find it fun to blast through hordes of monsters and get the loots, somehow it scratches my hunter/gatherer itch ya know?

only streamers and welfare warriors can reach it.

you got 3 month to reach lvl 90 and gear up und kick a shapers ass.
that not enough for you?
then play standard.
take your time, grind to lvl 90 and a full atlas in three days or weeks, months or years, whatever you feel like.

Make end game unlock-able

no, pls dont.
for any long term player it would be boring AF.
i wouldnt wanna run shaper 24/7.
wouldnt wanna sell dem swords and flasks for 10c each,
because it worthless,
because the market is flodded,
because everyone just runs shaper 24/7 5 days into the league just to make a dollar/chaos.

That was a good one, I chuckled in real life. My monocle almost fell off, then my top hat actually did.
