" Only really have a problem with this line here. Those items that are 200ex are not meant for casual players. They are in the game for hardcore players who want something to chase. That 200ex item, exists for me. I want that item to be that high so I have a goal. If everything in the game was < 1ex, my league would end on day 3. They may as well not be in the game for you, yes. But they absolutely have a reason to be in the game. The keys have nothing to do with delve. The league is happening and there happens to be a bonus that anyone, anywhere can get. Again, content like this exists for some people to have a goal. It is not for you. But my point is only that there is nothing wrong with that. ~Myth |

" 1. Yes. i dont care since i get them only when they are on sale (and they do them often enough)y 2. I dont mind. still better than cancer Overpriced AH like in D3 . plus there Poe trade tells you when someone is AFK so obviously you're not paying attention. 3. Yes i do. and i buy them from zana every now and again so i keep them comming and do the 3 maps recipe if i hoard too much of a same map. The game you describe in your first post looks a lot like diablo 3, so why dont you go play that instead?

" If I counted my packs right, I've spent a total of $380 on the game so far. Divided by my playtime that makes way less then $1/hour; cheaper than movies or many other activities. I enjoy building up a collection of items, especially uniques. I currently have 21 tabs just for unique items, categorized by item type. Sorting the uniques found in a league is not the most exciting activity but I do like it when I find one which I didn't previously own. " I enjoy finding or crafting my own equipment so I've never had to deal with getting afk replies. I mostly play self-found but it would feel like a waste to vendor good uniques so I'm allowing myself to sell them for currency which I then use for crafting. You do know that the official site now has a trade section too so third-party sites are no longer required? " I have to admit that grinding low-tier maps to get that one I'm missing from the Atlas is one of the less enjoyable aspects of the game. I've never had much trouble maintaining a decent map pool though. More often the limiting factor is my self-made builds and their ability to clear high tier maps without dying. |

Been a while since i saw a thread about people and their imaginary/exaggerated problems.
Also yea, uber game content isn't meant for everybody, deal with it.
" Thats cool. Since game's closed beta, I've dropped exactly 4 ex and I've played every league except talisman. Overall I've earned 4 more ex. So everything combined around 8ex. So you made way more money than me. So by your standards I'm way below casual. Yet in basically every league I reached 36, cleared t13+ maps, sometimes even endgame bosses. If I can do it, so can you. And why would a casual chase endgame items when they are not in the end game? Either you are a casual and don't bother with endgame and currency - or you are any form of hardcore player and then u chase endgame items and endgame. You can't be casual and do endgame and have endgame items while investing 1h daily to play. Also I bought 1 premium tab. Thats it. If you want to hoard items, then yea u need 20 tabs so you can do alch/chaos recipe. But you don't need that. You don't even need that 1 premium tab to play because you can still buy stuff. Which if you are a casual you won't usually have anything worth selling. 1 tab for currency, 1 tab for quality gems and div cards, 1 tab for maps, 1 tab for decent rares and uniques, 1 tab for selling stuff/storing uniques. Tabs are 1 time convenience thing. You don't need them to play. Especially if you are casual. " They are, if you invest time to play. Last edited by n0z0mu on Aug 27, 2018, 7:36:12 AM

1. I payed once for my staches. It's like buying a game. In the end, PoE didn't cost me more money than any other game would have, while I do spend more time playing it.
I do enjoy sorting out my stuff at the end of a league. I don't collect rares while playing, so I don't really have major sorting to do during the league itself. 2. I'm sorry, but if you get 50 afk answers, you either don't understand how pricing works on the third party or you're playing Standard at the begining of a league. Let's say that 200 people are selling a T8 map for 1c and 10 are selling it for 1 alc. Don't bother whispering these 10. There's 95% chance they'll all be afk. Either they're actually afk, or they repricing the item because they received 100 whispers, or it's already sold. Some people will just whisper the 10 cheapest offers for every existing T8 map and complain that they only get afk and that, with an AH, they would buy their maps for 1 alc. They wouldnot. With an AH, the underpriced offers would simply cease to exist, or wouldnot last more than a couple of seconds. Yes, I believe that an AH system would be better, more convenient and more accessible for beginners, but the "50 afk" problem is very simple to avoid and not a real problem. 3. I never have this problem. When I'm missing a map for the atlas, I simply buy it (not trying to snipe the lowest price, see 2). You're talking about the grind and the 200 ex items. These are goals for harcore players, but they are not required to beat end game. I usually don't grind beyond lvl 94 cause I find it boring and I never ever saw a 200 ex item (far from it). Yet, I've killed Uber Atziri countless of times, Shaper many, many times, Chayula a couple of times and Uber Elder with three different builds (once per build, I find it too annoying to reshape the Atlas once I've reached my goal). I'm not a casual player, but I'm far from the hardcore ones you describe. I could not care less about not being able to get the 200 ex items, since I don't need them to reach my goal with a given build (kill every existing end game boss).
