I've managed to get this colours


I don't see many people running Multistrike/Melee Splash. I saw the op mentioned the multiplier helps with indigon but not specifically recommending it. Why not?

For indigon 2 red sockets best DPS option, but indigon got nerfed as hell so no one running it anymore.

So yesterday I hung up my flicker strike character, today my friend has quit and is giving me all his items so I'm going to be able to go this build. I've only played VD Poet's Pen as a Jugg so I'm looking forward to trying this.

I have 30 ex to spend so it looks like I'll be able to get the corrupted gloves, the watchers eye for ES on hit with disc and the main parts of the build.

With that kind of currency and reading a few posts it seems like that Indigon isn't as needed (BIS) or am I misreading that? I'm at work so sadly the proxy has a field day with some of the posts here so I can't see them all. Any advice as I don't want to waste my currency and would like to try and buy as best as I can. Like what items should I prioritize etc? I want to be able to clear maps fast and same as everyone be able to do bosses. I was able to do all content apart from uber atziri on my jugg poet's pen.


Also is this build still able to do everything? I see a few people mention they have had issue but I'm not sure if that's down to not good enough items etc. Just trying to workout if this build is for me.

@thorgrove I wouldn't get a corrupted ele weakness pair of voibringers on a 30 ex budget. As a matter of fact I wouldn't get it at all on any budget after trying it. It is just my opinion and some people might disagree with me.

You can have a solid setup with 30ex if you spend it wisely and take your time to buy everything you need.

So I'm thinking of getting the warlords mark and grant aspect of the spider on ring, a 6link shavs, obviously the poet's pen, the necklace, the shaper ring - the boots that are in the OP too, what else would be a wise investment for this build? I literally have nothing to play at the moment so I'm either going to go this build or level my CoC up a bit.

It will depend on your setup but you won't necessarily need a 6l shav, but might as well get a 6l one just in case. Watcher's eye is about 4ex, for the ring, the spider aspect can be skipped if you want to use regular boots (I still need to do more theorycrafting on Skyforth boots that could be a budget option that could allow you skipping lvl4 enlightens / the vertex and easily use a rare helmet with - 9 lighting res to nearby enemies. It would also allow using an other support gem for arc instead of pcoc since ball lightning would also generate power charges on bosses.). For gloves you should use voidbringer with enfeeble corruption or + crit chance for spells and get a curse on hit setup on frenzy. Those 2 gloves options are cheap. You need at least 3 poets pens, 4 is obviously better. For helmets I'd recommend a vertex or a rare hubris, the rare is the better choice but can cost a few ex. A nice rare belt can cost anything up to 2 exalts maybe for something really solid. Then you have to buy the presence of Chayula amulet and a mark of the shaper.

Then you have to get your jewels to get your affixes right, cap your resistances if needed and add some crit multi in priority (aim for around 450 multi for spells to begin with).

This should all fit into 30 exalts if I'm not wrong. I can't verify it on my phone but I'm pretty sure you can afford some decent items.
