Poll: Should we add Nets that work on Dead Beasts?

It seems Red monsters still are able to get out of nets instantly? Or is it net level issue? If a "regular" net can guarantee 3-sec window, show net duration upon netting monsters, auto targeting, and show a net cool down, which are all reasonable mechanics IMHO, then no need to capture corpse.
Culling strike / summoners / totems may have issue though. |

I vote Yes, but Rare because I think that this league has some serious problems with the mechanics just not working with how the game is designed to be played.
Even with the 3 second changes, the nets are kinda a pain in the butt; they're clunky and slow. It's also bad if you are running a build that doesn't all you total control over your damage. |

Wow this is a very close race!

Yeah they should definitely let us capture dead beasts. Some classes just CANT get a monster under 10% without killing it

Please just change the mechanic in general. The stopgap fixes are going to cause more separation and controversy than anything.
There are lots of good ideas here, but in general, you land a net, then the beast can be killed/captured. Anything else so far is just making life very frustrating for many fast builds, or builds that don't have precise control over their dps. I've had 4 friends sign off this weekend... they gave it a shot, then basically said "see ya next league, maybe." The bleeding has to stop. The recipes are cool, the thought of hunting mobs is cool. The capture mechanic is a knife in the throat of the good intentions. |

Anyone that thinks the three second window is fine isn't playing a necro and frantically trying to throw the net at something through 15 of their babies before it dies. It's really a pain for people that can't pull back on the damage.

I've read a lot of these responses and I think both sides make good points, but from what I've seen it's mostly people saying yes/no based on the average build.
I very much appreciate the 3-sec timer for nets, but there's still far too much clutter. As a spectre/golem necromancer, the monster is often dead by the time I pick it out of a crowd unless I'm in a map a couple levels above me. If the monster does live for a few moments, it keeps spawning adds that get in the way. I was thinking of doing flicker strike next, but don't want the beast to explode before I even know it's there. Either the net needs to auto target the rarest monster in range or we need a (preferably rare/expensive) way to capture dead ones. It shouldn't be easy to do because, as many have already said, that would essentially negate the entire league. P.S. Love the league so far, it's just hard to interact with it sometimes. Hope for the best.
Prepare for the worst. |

I can't imagine,
My Flicker Strike to fly past and be careful not to kill the monster. It's really a trouble to worry about not killing a monster. |

Make these nets a bit more rare.
Bending under a little bit of people (even though there was a lot more people who hated currenct implementation of beast capture) who want to forcibly impose their playstyle they see fit for everyone else. Literally nothing would changed if you just implemented them already - people who want to only capture beasts alive could continue doing so, nothing would stop them. I was thinking better of you Chris and of Community. If for some reason minority who want to forcibly impose the only playstyle they see fit on everyone (no extra option to capture dead beasts), instead of just letting people play as they like and capturing mechanic still gonna be so frustrating (cooldown, namelock, tanky adds, etc. etc.), this might be first League I might actually quit. I lot of people feel the same. |
