Important: How We're Changing Capturing
First, You guys need a relax Sunday for the excellent work that you delivery in this league.
I like the changes on the mechanics for capture the monsters, I was some kind of frustrated when the monster die to soon or even when I can't throw the net. What I don't like in this changes is the net for dead creature, I think the league lost a lot with this new mechanic, it doesn't have sense capture a dead creature a receive his full potential recipe. Like all the other players who posted this suggestion in a similar fashion, I have to say, the simple solution is to just remove the nets entirely. The harder monster challenge is nice. Maybe make them a little more challenging if the capture mechanic is removed, and then face those killed bosses in groups in the menagerie for crafting gear. It would be similar to invasion bosses but with an arena to fight those bosses in groups for crafting possibilities. The nets are useless and the most annoying feature ever introduced in Path of Exile. I'm begging you GGG, remove this silly game-breaking capture mechanic.

" Thankyou so much for quickly addressing this. I was having this issue myself and was incredibly frustrated because the design of my build is crits & spike damage from trickster, which means I can easily annihilate a monster completely by accident beforehand. Or get them to 40%, go to throw net on the next hit, and them whoops! CRIT! and my careful slight of hand is ruined.... Such a thing is also important considering capturing lower level monsters. Though as for the stun issue, wouldn't it be better if it functioned more like a snare than a pin? Right now the enemies get pinned, but shouldn't he technically be using heavy stones that slow, the shock affecting action speed, not magic stakes that pin like bear trap right into the ground? -Throw a special net ("Soul Net") on a dead beast. High chance to capture. If it fails, destroys the body so it can't be spammed until capture. 2 tiers of net: one with 50% chance for 1 Chance Orb and other with 75% chance for 3 Chance Orbs.
-Throw a special net/flask ("Breath Of Life") on a dead beast and it will revive it with 50% health, being able to try to recapture it alive with regular nets. My biggest problem so far is that I carefully bring down rares/uniques HP but suddenly I crit and it dies. Also, the ammount of nets (at least early game) was a little high, having to change them every time... I thought it would be like 5 variations through the whole game. " I actually thought it was gonna be a skill at first, so hearing about ten different consumables was more than a little puzzling. I just don't see a reason for ten different tiers of nets being there. |

OK CHRIS. I AM WAITING FOR THOSE 2 CHANGES. I AM WAITING TILL THE LEAGUE WILL BE PLAYABLE AND I WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY.
ALSO: When beast is captured it animation is stopped, beast just stand still - its looks ugly as hell, from designers perspective. Just make "orb of capturing" (5-10 tiers?) and allow capturing only dead monsters! So ppl will decide do they want to waste orb for this exact beast or not! Its will be so much better gameplay! I am sure ppl will agree with me! Also plzz add transparent dome effect above captured monster, or some other effect, - captured beast is inside ice cube will be awesome! (until the BeastMaster appears for teleportation) FOR THE GLORY!

How I would do it:
You use net to throw it on the beast without stunning it, but instantly enraging it instead. That beast is now "netted" and as soon as you bring it to 1% life it is captured. I don't think people have problem with the fact that they have to stop instead of doing 1 map per minute (those will ignore any league mechanic anyway and will not even waste time on posting here instead of doing more maps) Major problem at the moment is that you can't capture anything even if you stop and try to do it Last edited by Burekpie#3064 on Mar 3, 2018, 7:52:40 AM

Maybe just make beast stuned and imune to any dmg for 2 sec at 21% hp to give time to think what i want to capture ?
example: clearing trash brainlessly ouuuu nice monster to capture trows net net fails monster enrages restores hp brainlessly dps again monster again stuned imune to dmg trows anothet net monsture captured White monsters and blue ones maybe can be captured at 1st try always and have 1sec stun+dmg imunity ? rare and up can fail ? |

IMHO, I don't think capturing dead beast make any sense..do you? We should think of a way to make all types of builds be able to capture them Alive. Each build will need to to capture beast diffently and not try to make them all the same. I have a few suggestions in mind, but honestly, with the vast flexibility of builds in POe, we need to simplify them down to categories (such as crit builds, melee, range etc..) and then try to make capturing methods for each one...
