Hardcore and why you should play / try it
I kinda skimmed over your OP, but I do have this to say: After participating in some of the races, I found it hard to go back to Default League. It just wasn't as exciting as Hardcore.
Edit: I will probably start playing Hardcore exclusively after more patches come out offering new builds, reducing FPS lag in parties, etc. Once that stuff is released, I plan on quitting Default altogether (aside from maybe testing out a build to see how it pans out). Y once this feeling hits you its kind of over. I feel the same Bro
(looking carefull for trolls) but ofc I understand the others too. Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1

Won't try HC before I'm lvl 100 and have the best possible gear for my class. :P

" I wasn't trolling. I don't troll. Trolling is for people below common logic, I prefer to argue with logic. I never said anything about you forcing anyone to do anything. You said (from what I was able to interpret) that from an HC standpoint, SC concerns are pretty much pointless. This is true if you're an HC player. But not if you're one of the people playing Default, that have those concerns. Only looking at the situation from an HC standpoint is just being shallow-minded. As for the "time wasted" statement, I prefer not to play a game knowing that all of my invested time will be for nothing upon one single mistake or event out of my control. This is usually the mind-set of a Default player. A hardcore player chooses to live with the consequences of losing their character upon death. That's how they choose to enjoy the game. The preferences are different, both with their own set of concerns. You can't simply say that the concerns of a Default player don't matter, just because you play HC. I appreciate the "comparison", but you don't have to waste your flawed logic on me. PS: It's obvious that English isn't your first language, I did my best at interpreting your statements.
" You lose nothing by dying in Hardcore as a Default player, so why not give it a shot anyway? You may be pleasantly surprised. Just roll a character in HC, see how far you can get without dying and if you do, continue in default. This stigma of "wasted time" needs to stop. Virtually no progress is lost for the average Default player trying Hardcore. Consider it a "see how far you can get" challenge. Last edited by Lyralei on Feb 28, 2013, 10:10:59 PM

" probably not without the added pressure to not die/play very carefully/have a proper build/have a stable connection/play with friends currently on the default league. you can have a default league character with /deaths showing 0. and things would go much better if just people refrain from referring the default league softcore/babycore/noobcore/scrubcore/etc. default = normal.

" This is true, the repercussions for dying in PoE HC are much smaller in comparison to other ARPGs. But if I were going to make an HC character, I'd go at it with the intent as any other HC player would. I wouldn't make an HC character so that I could eventually die and just play on Default. Why put up with the pressure when I can just select Default right off? Last edited by Alure on Feb 28, 2013, 10:47:19 PM

Nice post but I have to disagree with the economy being better.
Also instead of calling the default league "softcare", call it what it is. I know it's slang but it sounds condescending. And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit - The Tick

I find dying in softcore is way more hardcore than hardcore because losing exp is the most painful thing ever. The only way hardcore could be more hardcore than softcore is if you could delevel.
