Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?

It's a chase item in its own right. I prefer the Oni grind compared to doing 100hours of burial farming only to receive a fraction of a unique item. Or, you know, grinding that Tower map to get a fraction of a fraction of a headhunter.

Then there's its utility. For me, being able to defeat the final boss of the game is what I ultimately aim for. In that circumstance, this sword will provide far more utility than that unique belt that costs 100x more on the market. I've also done builds with uniques that get stronger as your character grows and gets stronger. A concept that I really like and I wish this game had more items like that. Stuff like Pillar of the Caged God, Oni-Goroshi, and the Dark Seer to name a few.

I will definitely get one this league. I want to play a CoC berserker with RF for damage boost. Go hard or go home when it comes to fire.

Today I noticed once again that there is a shattered goddess in the arena of solaris and lunaris, in the top right corner. Interesting little detail, though sadly I don't know how it fits in with the lore... it probably doesn't.

About how long did it take you this league?

I’m pondering giving it a go to make a different build and was wondering if it is similar to the last couple of leagues when they removed the min level but lowered the drop chance.

around 14 hours
all 4 of my scions were about 5% into level 8. from lvl 7 on i did nothing but rush/kill hillock. so thats about 750 hillock kills deep.

Thx! I was kind of hoping you would say it was sub 10 hours. I know that it could take me 1 kill, or 5000 kills, but it seems it’s still a bit too grindy for me.

when i searched around it seems like the average is 14 hours. as low as 8, as high as 25.
some people get lucky and get the sword before even getting level 7, where as some people get unlucky and it takes them forever.

its pretty grindy. i'll see how this build pans out for this league, but unless its like the best build ever im not sure i'll do it again. i do play SSF now and 14 hours grind for such an item really isn't bad, considering it takes a lot longer for worse items.

if not in SSF definitely just buy the thing.

My third just dropped. Level 8.17 and 6 hours and 17 minutes in. Nice roll too!




I ran four guys until they all hit 7.5 then to speed things up, three until my first sword dropped. Faster rotations that way. When my second sword dropped, I added a new one to give me a third runner so i could just keep grinding without worrying about the reset.

I have one more guy at 8+. We'll see if I keep him going or not.
