Fuck the lab

It is not part of the core game, because it ignores the core game. *sigh* It is a mini-game with its own rule set that does not take into consideration 90% of the choices on a character's path through the skilldrasil or their gear - the cornerstones of a character's build. In addition, the only skill gems that really help are movement skills - the traps ignore any damage you do & curses don't matter, etc. Monsters only really exist in the Labyrinth as flask fodder.

Rather than caring about any of that, as long as you build to have tons of regen or tons of movement speed, you can traverse the "challenges" without issue, otherwise, you have to play the mini-game of trap avoidance at a severe handicap, whereas the same build outside the Labyrinth can take on all challenges of the actual game just fine.

I think that you and Xtorma are using different definitions for "part of the core game". Labyrinth is part of the game, true. Unlike Atziri, it is required for almost every character. So from that perspective, it is a part of the core game. Labyrinth game play is different and separate from the core game play of PoE is also true. It is not part of the core game from that perspective.

It most certainly is part of the core game, or you would not want to bypass it. As I said, as time goes on more and more of the lab will bleed into the other portions of the game. We see it with every release. It's already been stated by Chris that they don't really care whether a portion of the player base likes the lab or not, just like he doesn't give two hoots whether or not I like act 4. The lab is just another act you have to complete to get the rewards. The reasons why you dislike the lab are subjective, and only relevant to you, same as my dislike of act 4. This is why I say that I have no issue with you being able to bypass the lab , as long as I get to bypass any other portion of the game I subjectively dislike.

You stated when it gets too much for you, then you will quit, like turtledove did. (oh wait), and that is fine, more power to ya.

Whether or not labyrinth is a "core" part of the game is irrelevant to whether or not feedback and suggestions can be made about it in this forum.

You make a most foolish argument apparently without thought. This is GGG's Feedback and Suggestions forum. It is not a place for ridiculous bartering. You will allow GGG to fix labyrinth only if they also fix something you don't like. Do you even believe what you write!!! Sorry, your assertions are off topic and irrelevant to this thread. If you want GGG to fix something besides labyrinth then start up a different thread to discuss that.

You have been bartering since you first posted..."I will quit if it doesn't change".
don't understand why so much complain.

You play lab only four times with each character to get the ascendandcy passives, whereby three labs are really easy. Only eternal lab (final lab) is actually challenging.

You make a build especially for lab with some nice divine flasks (insta regen) nice movement skill and large life pool.

If you wish to loot some items/orbs from lab you do this with your super duper uber lab char you created and built (see above).

So whats the matter?

I go through trials very easy with my rf marauder to collect offerings. I use my cyclone slayer to loot lab... it works... It takes time of course (around 10-20 minutes) but you have to sacrifice something in order to get something good.

Disconnects are an issue, I agree. But if you disconnect on every 2nd attempt, then you really should check your internet connection or change internet provider.

cheers

Trying to barter with GGG with a threat to quit makes far more sense than you trying to barter with us for bypassing labyrinth only if you can bypass Act 4. Which makes zero sense that I can fathom. Sorry, Xtorma, what you say is not true anyway. I never tried to make such a barter with GGG. What I did say is that I had quit. What I did say is that I hadn't made a new donation to GGG since Labyrinth was released, at least up until release 3.0 when I came back because GGG significantly reduced the loathsome lab content.

I didn't try to barter either. I made a simple statement of what I'd be doing if I no longer enjoyed the game due to the presence of too many traps outside of the Labyrinth.

I haven't played this league since I hit level 80 because progress seemed to stall, and I had more fun games to play, like Warframe that I recently started, Elder Scrolls Online when my friend wants me to join up, and a couple browser games.

If this game didn't have the Labyrinth requirement to finish my builds, I'd likely still be playing my characters well past 80, but there it is; turning my stomach just thinking about going through it even one more time.
you can add me to the list of lab haters, it would be fine if there was even a slight chance of getting the helm enchant you want but as it stands, just something to make you feel like the game hates you and wants you to not play.

Yeah, just spent an hour in the Lab, taking my time and getting all the keys, towards the end the game crashes. This is YOUR problem, not a hardware problem. I'm running direct x 11 which has the least amount of problems. Fix your servers(game) before adding more content. The lag in this game is ridiculous at times. I understand it's free but Diablo 2 didn't lag like this, World of Warcraft doesn't lag like this and is far more intense then this game.

I don't understand this hate towards a certain aspect of the game. You do content you like doing or you play something else.

Labyrinth costs nothing until you reach the eternal lab, which you only "have to" complete once.
Once you complete all 6 trials, you have at least 6 offerings ready to go, most likely more, and the chances that you actually have to spend currency to complete the eternal labyrinth successfully one single time is very low.

There are people who like the labyrinth as it is so I don't see a reason to remove it, or change it drastically. I am one of those people.

It's like asking the game servers to be brought down because you don't like the game.
Why allow anyone else to enjoy what you don't, right?

It's like there are 2 game servers one that is fun to play on and one where a rabid squirrel bites you in the nuts every 5 minutes.

Yea turn the one with the rabid squirrel off.

LOL

People are going to argue it's an end user issue.
Would it be ok to be added to the list of players disliking lab?

Regarding your assertion about lab being the worst addition to any game in the last 30 years, I've been playing computer games for longer, for about 40 years. Since before computer games were even available for purchase. Way before personal computers. Of course I can't be familiar with all additions to all games. I can confidently say though that lab is the worst addition to any game that I've ever seen.
Neden yaşıyorsun?
