150 points map tab bollocks BONUS: Fragment tab is 75 points, totaling at 22,5$!
" Why not make them stack, then? To annoy people into buying fragment tab? Well, don't know about you, but you won't see me buying anything from GGG for some time now. Assuming I'll buy anything ever again. Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.
Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.
" Some ppl asked for a fragment tab Also some other ppl are consuming sheep and will buy things even if they dont need them (:O) Some other ppl have so much money that they dont know how to spend it, so they'll gift it to GGG Thing is, I dont care. As soon as the game is fun for me, ill buy stuff, not the fragment tab though. And i think, you shouldnt care either. I dont understand why you care. |

Well, I'm a day 0 buyer of these "minor QoL" improvements. Due to it's price, the fragment tab is worse than it should have been (not to mention the fact that it costs 75 coins just to annoy you, if you end up with a few below it's price or a few more after it's purchase), I would have bought 2 if it was priced at 50-60, but 75 feels one of the worst possible amount for it's "mediocre" convenience.
It doesn't help that I gained at most 3 full tabs of space regarding it's buy, heck, a map tab brought me at least 4 times more, the same for the others except the Essence tab, which will come to better use if GGG ever decides to make Essences a more "encounterable" mechanic... Still, it creates a bad precedent, and "the road to hell" is paved with those along "good intentions"... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Jan 26, 2018, 4:47:00 AM

I always had the opinion that the price of the micro transactions didn't feel micro but a year or 2 ago I decided that the game itself deserved money and I spend some money on tabs. (currency, essence, divination, trade and some normal tabs)
I have not bought the map tab yet. Also I probably won't buy the fragment tab. The map tab is fine in itself but the price is too high. The fragment tab feels redundant and the price is also ridiculous. Ill bet the next league will introduce some sort of new thing that will need a tab at a certain point in the game. Tabs are the golden cow that GGG milks right now. But I am not playing along. Map tab should be around 7-8 euro at most. Fragment tab should not even exist as a separate tab. Thinking about where I would spend my money on is community created leagues. I would spend money on access to a permanent legacy league were (after the new league) new league stones are added. I also would buy more tabs when the prices go down to a point that it feels micro instead of buying 3 tabs for the price of a full game.
The mtx price makes sense because of animation+3d modeling+2d art+2d effects but stash tabs and co are just flat pages+ few code lines so I am not sure why they are so expensives.

" I bet the tabs take more time than some new mtx. Don't forget the programming. It's not just a new bitmap made in paint. But tabs are useful to anyone so the selling potential is much higher and more people buy them.
" Something I have never, ever accused GGG of being before today is cynical. But after seeing the new fragment tab, coupled with the fact that they did not implement any stacking for these fragments outside that tab, I sure as hell am accusing them of that from this day forward. Wash your hands, Exile!

"Why would that make them cynical? I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

" We have to expect this. I'll guess it's likely that they made the fragments not stack-able in the first place to consume tab space. In the interview Chris said it took a large effort to make the fragments stack-able. They basically had to re-implement all of the interactions with the fragments. Keeping the old style fragments and the new style fragments both in the game, I'll guess, was a little bit more work than replacing the old style with the new style. It's a reasonable marketing ploy, I guess. (He said with a helpless shrug.) I haven't bought it yet but I will because I'm not really into mtx armour for my characters and I have to spend my points someplace. A minor QoL feature is the best place to spend it. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I played without tabs as a long time since Prophecy since my time in Perandus was pretty short. Having tabs now improves QOL, but it's not so bad that it's not worth it to play. Just keep diversified currency. The only tab that you really should get no matter what is the currency tab. Everything else is just a convenience.
