I think the best option would be that the game is to be purchased for like 20-30 dollars/euro, and for that price you get:

- a currency tab
- a map tab
- six premium tabs
- and maybe an armour set or something, or a nice pet

This is actually a really good idea. A one-off purchasable beginner pack for $20 or $30 that contains these items would be a really good QoL improvement for new players and totally worth the money.

The hard part would be pitching the sale of this pack to someone that knew nothing about PoE.

umm, but you can't stack them right, without a frag tab?

Of course not. They could absolutely do that without any problem (even allow it to stack up to 10, heck, even 5 would do wonders), but that doesn't make money, right?

75coins for a nice frag tab

i think that they went too far. it is pretty damn obvious that frags/divine should go into map tab and breach splinters into currency

but this doesnt make money i guess
Well, people are pissed - who knew?

Will there be someone to defend GGG's decision saying people are ok with that, and GGG's metrics show that people buy them, and are fine with them?

I honestly expect them to go with some sort of post explaining why they did this. This will look something like this:

We're surprised people don't like, cuz they asked for. Stash tabs very important source of money.
Thank you for supporting.

Of course they're going to ignore the fact people asked it to be part of map tab.

This is just a god damn greedy fucking move GGG, shame on you!

LOL! I'd love to see a GGG post using these exact words XD
"Metas rotate all the time, eventually the developers will buff melee"
PoE 2013-2018
Sorry for posting again, but I found this absolute golden post in fragment announcement thread.

Just give them money and never ask questions. They made a thing, so you must pay for it. It is as simple as that.

I don't know man

I didn't buy the map tab and i'm just fine the whole league, no problems at all, just stashing my maps into empty no premium simple tabs.
Obviously I won't buy this one too, cause I dont need it
I dont know why you think those tabs offer an advantage or something, I feel those tabs are not offering anything at all, just some fancy comfort.

It's time efficient. Less time you spend in HO sorting and pricing stuff = more maps you run and more profit you make.

Try to imagine playing with 4 regular stash tabs and having access to all special and quad tabs.
Assuming both players playing same map and their clear speed is the same its easy to say who is going to have more currency in the end of the day.

We are not talking about 4 regular tabs or extra stash tabs in general here, we are talking about the new map and fragment tabs.

Ofcourse having more than 4 stash tabs is usefull, also the currency tab is pretty much a MUST if you gonna grind this game a lot.

But map and fragment tab ?? Don't see any advantage here.
