150 points map tab bollocks BONUS: Fragment tab is 75 points, totaling at 22,5$!
" Do you wonder how much time a casual player should litterally WASTE in order to have a decent organization with 4 tabs with all the shit that you can get when you reach maps (which is the goal that GGG would like that every player could reach)? I mean, tabs are occupied just by some stack of different currency. Rolling a flask sometimes requires you to use 300 or more alteration. In order to use them, you are required to have the space to keep them: that's already 15 slots of a single tab used only to store some alterations. That's just a stupid example of a classic thing you are required to do before start mapping. Having more tabs means you can dedicate more time into farming, instead of caring of the situation of the space in the tabs you have. That's a fucking huge advantage, especially now that the game is so fast that only the people who plays a lot can get something good.Having more tabs also means you can store more things and so sell more things. Game is based on killing monster and drop things, pick them up and vendor them to NPC or to other people, or change some pieces if you drop something that's better compared to the things you have equipped (quite rare, but sometimes happens). Anyway, it's not a game of tab management: and since the game is every day full of new things that you need (maybe not the moment you drop, but you will need them in the future), then 4 tabs are clearly not enough anymore. That's why people stops playing: they reach a point that they are so bored to care about storage and not to go kill monsters. That proves that player who have more tabs and special tabs (which are way more handy than the classic normal tabs) are quite advantaged. That's why casual players are not incentivized to reach the endgame, because they can't have a free complete experience of the game, even if they play a reasonable amount of time. This way, you are just forcing people to buy tabs in order to have a good experience with the game, which isn't honestly that "fair" when talking about f2p. I totally agree with OP for adding regular tabs for new players, increasing the number of maximum stack of currency, and make other things stackable (like offering, fragments, and empty divine vessels); I'm not talking about special tabs, which i think it's fair that have a cost to pay. " Yes. PoE is free2try, pay4advantage. All I've ever been saying. Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

It's probably time to agree on disagreeing. I am not the naive type who starts playing a game and expects the whole game F2p, to be on the same comfort level as a paying player.
I don't need a sign on my peanuts package that says 'Contains peanuts'. |

" That isn't all you've been saying. Again, how hypocritical of it for you to support OPs quest here and saying poe is F2T\P4A, but support literal advantages to premium tabs that free or low paying players aren't privy to. Shameful IMO. https://youtu.be/T9kygXtkh10?t=285
FeelsBadMan Remove MF from POE, make juiced map the new MF. |

" That's a good summary of the situation. And in fact this was always the case in PoE, but we were so desperate for a decent D2 followup that we were willing to ignore the slightly fishy claims of 100% free2play with no pay4advantage aspects. It's just become a lot more obvious to a lot more people now (because of the increased need for new tab types as well as their sales), which is coming back to bite GGG in the derriere. People are decreasingly willing to ignore that. edit: P.S. I find it interesting (and unfortunate) that this page talks about zero-advantage microtransactions, and yet says nothing at all about stash tabs: https://www.pathofexile.com/about/ That's the kind of thing I am talking about when I say that consumers pushing for transparency is a good thing for everyone. " That's strange, it seems to me PoE is doing better every expansion. So how exactly is it 'biting them in the ass'? |
|
" Hm? You think this kind of controversy is good for business? Wash your hands, Exile!
|
|
" What controversy? All I see is a few people complaining about a problem that doesn't exist. |
|
" How many 'not necessary' tabs you use? How many of them you really need besides of default four? And final question: why this really needed tabs are not in game by default? I have nothing against additional tabs for real money, but right now, in 2018, game have a lot of different type of items that really hard to keep if you have only default four tabs, that was not a problem in 2014. E = mc^(OMG)/wtf

" I agree that there have been many more items added since the start of the game. I don't agree with any stashtabs or additional ones being necessary to play PoE though. The slight disadvantage of not having every stashtab is being blown out of proportion massively in this topic. Seriously, what new player needs all this stuff? What new player gives a shit about speed farming maps? I didn't even know you could buy stashtabs till I was well over 100h in. This game is as f2p as it gets.
