PoE races are not ethical
Translation:
"waaaaaaaaaaaaaah I can't compete with people that have more time / dedication / skill at racing" won't go over well, so lets make this about "player health" and insert a suggestion on how to preserve that health and also make it possible for someone like me to compete... Also... its path... the entire game is predicated upon grinding like most other grinding rpg's. The more you grind, the more results you get. The more results you get, the better / richer / more experience / higher chance at uniques etc etc etc you have. "Hey guys you should redesign the core concept of your game because some players died playing WoW too much strung out on drugs and energy drinks" sounds really silly. Add to that, that nothing protects the racers. They could play 10 hours per day of racing (arbitrary decision on what the cap might be), but then play another 12 hours of league, or standard, or SSF... what then? Oh, THEN it's the player's fault for doing it? |

" yup, we need socialism where one's effort is not rewarded in any way. one can argue if this kind of effort has any "real worth", but it's everyone's personal choice what they do with their time. ethically, you should be #1 if you don't play at all by your logic. |

^^ correct. If you do races this way people would go even crazier. They would gather their friends and farm 24/7 until they get the perfect gear for speed levling(HH etc) then make a new char and level to 100 in a day. Even if GGG limits it to 1 character per race people would make alt accounts for the farming.
As I have said in previous threads like this. The only people that die from sleep deprevation are chronical ill people that havn't slept/slept little for months/years or make bad Real life decisions on top of not sleeping (driving, dehydrating, not eating) or people that have other underlying issues before. You can't blame a computer game/race for someone jumping off a cliff. It is decision making that people have to make every single day they live. |

Reading the title, I was expecting some SJW, virture signalling comments...
Anyway, make race 3 hours, & see how far you can go. or first to beat Kitava This kind of multi game race is promoting unhealthy long playtime. |
|
" They don't give us 3 hour races. Last race season was like what, 2 years ago? All we get nowadays is "quit your job or you lose the race" kind of thing. |

So many replies and allmost no single person actually used any arguments in this topic.
If person argument is: "triggered snowflake sjw" then it's actually irony from your part. It's you who is triggered idea for real competive enverioment because you need your advantage as you're afraid of equal playfield. |

You’re not reading or selective memory if that is what you took from the responses.

" Ok. Let's make scenario example: #1 player plays 4hour per day. #2 player plays 10 hour per day. They both reached end result and #2 player reached there first. #1 player spent 60 hours less to get max level compared #2 #2 player suffers from down syndrome and he isn't very smart person. But he has lot of free time playing computer games because of his disability. And I'm happy for #2 that he found his passion but #1 deserved to win because #1 is actually competive player and more skilled in this game. I took this example to extreme but for some people you just need to talk slowly. |

I find it amusing that people still think that it is 1 person behind the name that is doing the race. It is (usually) team effort, thus face it - you can't compete with those. Now, breathe deep and relax, you are not supposed to win under those conditions. Rationaly speaking ofc.
Quit races and move to standard, we are chilling there quite nicely. |
