Sao Paulo Server latency

HC is unplayable. These problems have been happening for 3 leagues now. Guess you can't expect much from a small indie company. :)
It's still happening. I'm a Brazilian player, but São Paulo and all other PoE servers currently present high latency in my case. The São Paulo server (which usually used to connect with like 16-20 ms) is now presenting 120-130 ms for the past few days. My ISP is just fine, since I can play other games - which have São Paulo and other BR servers too - with 4-20 ms tops.

After running a "tracert br.login.pathofexile" through Windows Command Prompt, it becomes clear that the problem is in the route between São Paulo and NYC (???) servers through SoftLayer:

Please fix this! The game experience gets reeeeally bad with high ping...

Thank you in advance!

I hate to ask the hard questions, but...

Is the BR servers overloaded with people as well? Because even when the server is working "fine" I have instance problems and lag spykes.

I know more and more people are playing in SA and maybe they are not paying enough?

Just judging by this thread where people are complaing without badges...

Can I assume the realm is costing more for GGG than profiting? Thus, GGG is investing less in this realm?

My end, it justifies my means,
All I ever do is delay,
My every attempt to evade,
The end of the road
And my end....

Until this gets fixed I'm skipping the league. I'm tired of having this issues every single league. I'll just play Warframe and the new Spider-Man, good thing I have some other stuff to play while this gets finally fixed (TAKE THE SERVERS OUT OF FCKING BR, TY)

Lol dude you had to go back a few pages on this thread. But yes the Brazilian server was shut down like Friday and the SãoPaulo gateway is routing to servers in the USA so you didn't find anything weird. They were shut down because it was causing rollback issues and instances closing out of no where.

I guess they could make an official post addressing South American players in the front page or discord major-news because people come to this thread confused and frustrated to complaint when it's already a known issue.
Like Tencent invested in you, invest in us too GGG :(
it is clear that the guy in charge of SA server is traveling / eating churrasco / enjoying the brazilian holiday

it is time to change the server company!

I said exactly what is being done two pages ago. The gateway is being redirected to NA servers until we're able to fix the connectivity problem between the backend and the Brazil gateway.

Because Path of Exile is played globally on the same realm, there are extra considerations you need to be aware of. The gateway needs to be able to communicate with the rest of the global realm. A FPS or MMOBA game, for example, does not need to communicate outside of the area it is played in and so does not need to rely on international connectivity.

The gateway is unavailable right now because the routing from it back to the rest of the realm is messed up, currently routing via Europe for some reason. If it were available, players would experience a lot of disconnections as the servers disconnect and reconnect, and also poor performance as the servers get overloaded, having to drop and recreate so many instances.

Players, of course shouldn't have to worry about this sort of stuff. The realm should just work without any issues and we have certainly failed to provide that. Currently, I have escalated this to our providers on each side of the connection. I have heard back from one, but it looks like they're not the provider that is responsible for the point where the connectivity has become degraded. I'm currently waiting to hear back from our Brazil server host.

Just reposting to inform people. This was yesterday btw

This thread have 93 pags and still alive unfortunately because the problem still around.

I think GGG should create some new thread on "daily post" to inform people and everybody else our current situation and what's happening next.
