10-20% max life. don't know how the 2% of your life would interact with CI, but I don't think it would matter. (could be great if you made this a life variant)

of course due to minion life on the tree, you may get more life out of a rare shield with high +life or another unique with high life (Path of Building tell me your ways)


Maligaro's lense is an interesting item, and maybe in the future I will use it for a future build.(maybe they will buff life in 3.0, who knows?)

But currently, the item serves no use with the build - the 2% life gain does nothing for ci, and 20% minion life is very small.

I have been bouncing around a few idea's in my head in the event that they nerf the heartbound loop combo.

1) zerphi + scolds combo (life version only)
2) just using scolds and a movement skill with es regen
3) running insanity essence weapons in weapon swaps. Then spamming weapon swap
4) I have done a build which used SRS setup and heartbound loop to trigger molten shell, the idea can definately apply here. Ideally you want 1 SRS to be able to trigger cwdt level 1 perpetually - which means it requires 2 heartbound loop rings, or substantial increased damage taken

no, phase run works fine. it only turns off if you USE a skill yourself


Guess they must have changed that then, I remember when Phase Run was re-released it would get overridden by skills after it in the same CWDT chain.

I use it all the time on a few other builds. All of them work fine using cwdt setups

Question (might be silly and likely is): does the "Minions deal X% increased damage" give any benefit when the skeletons die? Or is it really only the reduced skeleton duration that is needed?

the skeletons pretty much do nothing except for being a part of the loop, so damage to skeletons is not useful.

When did you all start doing lab? Right now, I'm having a little bit of trouble at lvl 75 and going into merc. I'm thinking that I need to spec a bit more into the tree then I'll be good to go.

I think I paid for the uber lab, not sure if you can do it alone.
You are immune to traps, because of regen, but its hard to kill Izaro with just 10 charges of flasks, dont think it is doable at all, or at least not easy task.

For anyone who was curious if maligaro's lense could work with a life build, I did some theory crafting:

Setup: Essence of insanity mainhand + maligaro's lens. Same setup in weapon swap.

Spectral Spirits hp has been estimated to be around 3k (probably a tiny bit higher).



Minion hp

64% (gem)
20% (Maligaro's Lens)
15% heartbound loop
130% (skill tree)
84% ( 7 x jewel with 12% minion life)

total = 313

4.13 x 3k = 12390

Spectral Spirits would have roughly 12,390 hp


Maligaro's Lens provides 2% of hp on death.

12390 x 0.02 = 247.8 hp

We gain 247.8 hp when a minion dies.

Heartbound loop deals 350 damage per minion (which we can mitigate with endurance charges/armor)

Mind over matter can also be used to reduce the 350 by 30%

with MoM and no armour, 350 x 0.7 = 245 damage taken, meaning we would break even with maligaro's lense. We can also use the corrupted mod *6% damage gained as mana* to replenish mana as we take damage.

However, Spectre hp and zombie hp is much higher, so their death's would provide a lot more hp return using maligaro's lens. That means that while spamming the weapon swap, we maintain our hp, but when the higher hp minions die, we gain substantially higher hp from maligaro's lens.
