[3.0] DreamScythe's Explosive Auto-Summoner
Welcome!
[Class - Necromancer] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ieip1JuBqII&feature=youtu.be Premise: The idea of the build is to automatically summon spectres and zombies while walking, then detonate them using our flasks for massive damage. Mandatory items: x 2 How does it work?
Spoiler
The quick rundown: Swapping insanity weapons causes you take take damage from heartbound loop, which then triggers cwdt summon spectres and zombies. They are detonated using Umbilicus immortalis and Coruscating Elixir. The long explanation: 1) In order to constantly summon minions, the build uses Two Essence of insanity weapons (one in main hand, one in your alternate weapon swap). Pressing "x" for weapon swap causes the spectral spirits to die, and summons 3 new ones. This occurs every time you swap. Heartbound Loop causes you to take 350 damage per minion death. 2) Higher level CWDT gems are used for 6L raise spectre and 2Lraise zombie. Both have high amounts of life. Raise spectre has more hp in higher tier maps, making it ideal for 6l. 3) Umbilicus Immortalis (Belt) makes it so that our flasks apply to Zombies and Spectres, but not us. That means we can use Coruscating Elixir to bring all our zombies and spectres to 1 hp, which then causes them to explode due to Minion Instability (Skill tree node). They also leave behind a devastating noxious cloud from the witch necromancer skill. and lastly, the spectres are linked with chance to ignite, for some deadly ignite damage. 4) Ylfeban's trickery is an amazing helm now. Since heartbound loop counts as a hit, shocked ground is spread everywhere constantly. If your ES is too low, or cant acquire the helm, look for a high ES helm with resists instead. 5) Level 20 desecrate with CWDT creates corpses so we can always have spectres/ zombies. 6) Our energy shield is sustained using lots of life regeneration and Zealot's Oath 7) And finally, a very interesting interaction using the Pantheon system Soul of Arakaali (captured Herald of thunder) - this provides 50% increased recovery of es if you have stopped taking damage over time. By equipping CWDT level 1 and blood rage in your secondary weapon slot, you will effectively be taking DOT from blood rage, then disabling it by swapping weapons. My Gear:

If playing on league, you will look for a high ES helm with resists and intelligence. - Absolute best item for the build. Focus on getting perfect 40% recovery. - required to activate CWDT setups. - Huge regen - High es with resists - mandatory for detonating minions - +1 spectres - 2% life regen enchant. - mandatory for detonating minions x 2 Lastly, you need to look for jewels with Minion damage and Energy shield. Keep in mind on standard my average ES gear is equivalent to top ES gear you would find on league. I also gain an additional 12% increased ES from my legacy jewels. Lastly, the ES regen you see is increased by 40% from Beast fur Shawl. 2300 x 1.4 = 3220 Regen. Videos:

In standard I have 8800 ES 2k base regen which is multiplied by 40% - making it 2800 regen. If playing on league, it will be much easier to gain resists using a rare ES helm, and if necessary, ES boots. You will need to acquire shavronne's revelation, so this is not a good starter build. Life version (Maligaro's Lens) Leveling:
Spoiler
I did not level as this build (I used a free respec on standard around level 89) This section is taken right from the user: Valmar's post on this thread: p.s. Valmar, your input has been greatly appreciated! Leveling
Spoiler
I played as a double totem till dried lake merciless (you can choose what you want I think to get there, just keep in mind you will need many many respecs). At level 70 I equip the desired items and worked a little squishy, but doable with good gear.
I recommend to get at least this tree for level 70-72, after gearing and making the respec: You are free to check it and add it to the build if you like it, as a recommendation. For me the mandatory part is the level 70-72 to gear up the items, and also got the 5 jewels, they are a need too. The 2 energy shield jewels are a luxury, but very useful too, a need for strong maps I guess. My current gear:
Spoiler
My skill tree: (I got one more jewel for needed resistances, and little more ES cause dont have all the regen needed. Need a couple more levels and then probably respec some ES nodes plus the jewel and 3 minor regen nodes I took to get the 1.8 and the stun immune node. I also changed some little nodes for my own tastes) Further comments:
Spoiler
-As I have said, starting at level 70 was a bit hard, but doable playing alone perfectly. I did even tier 10-11 maps (shaped dunes, shaped strand) at level 74 safely and alone, just avoiding using leaguestones and some dangerous mods. I just made the maps ble with transmutation until level 80.
-Currently doing tier 14 easy, even with extra damage monsters. Onslaught is a blessing, the faster the monsters move, the better you lure them to the poison traps while you wait for the spectres and zombies to come again. Beyond leaguestones are also fantastic for this build, because they just appear inside the poison and usually dies with one more explosion. -Be aware you also need a good shield in the change, if not, you will suffer from ES and resistances when change. -Prohibited mods: I think the slow life and mana regen or energy shield, and the slow recovery is auto reroll. Also dangerous mods for this build are shocking ground (you have to be very careful) and vulnerability (take care, cause you receive a lot of damage, however the longer you level and improve your ES regen, youll be better with this mod). -Gear options:
Spoiler
With all that uniques, you need a lot of resistances, and dex. You can get some dex on nodes, but you need it for gems. I was lucky to buy an awesome amulet, which free some points in tree for more ES, etc.

I'm not sure yet, but I suppose you use Ice Nova to proc elemental equilibrium. I also see the helm as the weakest part of the build. I'm thinking about removing it and using another piece. Shocking is good, but what do you think about using Shock Nova for shock and elemental equilibrium in spite of ice nova, and Using another helm with different modes? Maybe even the anti stun one to free space for more nodes? Or anyone with ES, or the gull (not sure if work with minions), or just any other one.

Build has cleared 3/4 guardians so far
Waiting to get phoenix map. After a lot of testing, seems to be much better than Mon'tegruuls. Lastly, Essence of insanity one hand weapon is used in the offhand.. If we are taking too much damage, switch to offhand and regenerate to full. Switching back to the main hand causes the minions summoned by the insanity weapon to die, causing 350 phys dmg each, and starts the heartbound loop cycle. been testing out lvl 10 CWDT instead of level 11 with the 6L, though the damage is less, the spectres are summoned every second as opposed to every 1.5 seconds, making map clearing much, much faster.

quick question:
How do you deal with frozen and bleeding? When I first watched your video I thought you're using Death's Door and Dream Fragment but surprisingly you didn't :) |
