Donald Trump and US politics

Eh. More welfare. PR is a massive liability every year. Like 50% of grown men are on disability. The place is basically a vacuum cleaner of Treasury cash. Then this Hurriance cash then forgive all their debt? Guess every state will do likewise and run up massive liabilities since you're doing it for a non-state. Big time moral hazard. But Trump is a liberal like I told y'all from start.

It would be interesting to see how trump intend to wipe out their debt. Saying it and doing it are two different things.

Government bailout would be smaller and more morally acceptable than the Wall St. bailout was in 2008, that's for sure.

hmmm I really wonder why they refuse to release the ads (I don't)

GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

The more sane people in WH are walking back Trumps comments.

Like I said would destroy muni bond markets not to mention other states would demand bailouts too. Can not happen.

(yes i know PR is no state but it basically is in practice, only reason it's not a real state is republicans don't want 2 more democratic senators)

At an early point in his campaign Trump played with the thought of eliminating the debt of the US entirely, as in "fuck you world we won't pay our debt, what are you gonna do about it?". I found it an interesting thought because I believe the US could actually get away with that without many reprecussions.

A good majority of your debt is owed to U.S. citizens or entities, around 30% to foreign entities. If You think nothing bad will happen when you owe trillions of dollars and refuse to pay back, please refuse to pay your debt like a boss. At bare minimum, it would piss off lots of people.

In likely scenario U.S. economy will probably crash. But what do I know. What better to test my theory than try it out.

Any country affected would appropriate to themselves any US asset in their country. All those factories in China? now owned by China.

This would cause a giant economic crash for us citizen as anything made oversea would drastically increase in cost. Anyone with a lot of assets out of the country would lose their money and as a result a ton of jobs would be lost. Odds are that imports in the US would become a lot more expensive as other countries wouldn't accept promises of future payments. US exportations would become heavily taxed as a way to try to get back the money lost. This would lead to massive exile of US assets in other countries.

In other words, the US would crash and burn if it happened.

Even if the ads were what the MSM hoped they were, I'm sure that 100 thousand spent (considering half didn't show until after the election) didn't make a whisper compared to the estimated 9.5 Billion spent during the election cycle on various campaigning.
