Donald Trump and US politics
" Still on about Obama and the LA flood? I echo the sentiments of our governor... "Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards defended the president's handling of the emergency, saying that he had been talking to him daily and that a visit by the president would require road closures for his motorcade and distract first responders when rescues are still underway." He did come by the way... Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you. Last edited by Shovelcut on Oct 1, 2017, 11:52:52 PM

The way of the partisan is to apply the double standard. Trump supporters look back to other presidents playing golf to justify Trump playing golf, as if being only as bad as a Democrat POTUS is some form of justification. I'd like to side strongly with The_Reporter here, at least on this one issue, and technically I do, but I hope that, when (if?) we ever have a Democrat POTUS again, he continues to apply the same standard.
Fuck golfing. Do your fucking jobs, politicians. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. Golfing is never just golfing, right? It's like the worst-kept secret in the states. It's getting opportunities to shake hands with various people without being in an official (i.e. on the record) location.
Anyway, it's dumb and +1 to the suggestion that maybe just maybe politicians should make their associations known instead of scurrying away to some distant greens. Especially when natural disasters strike. Last edited by pneuma on Oct 2, 2017, 4:40:51 AM

" B-but Trump should've driven the truck himself! GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" yeaaah why wasn't he driving the truck himself | |

" If he had been personally driving the truck, they would say he wasn't driving fast enough. If much of what is being suggested by locals is true, there are numerous Puerto Rican govt and company officials that should be prosecuted for their *current* contributions to this debacle. There is circumstantial evidence suggesting that the Mandalay Bay shooter was a violent leftist. We don't have enough to know one way or the other for complete certainty, but that's the most likely possibility, IMO.
He shoots up a country music concert, and one can discern a political motive just by that action alone. What kinda people attend country music concerts? At least the majority? Lots and lots of White, conservative people. Vast majority being Trump supporters. Also, the 2nd of October fell on some sorta Commie/Socialist revolution day. I know that some of you on the left were probably hoping, praying that the shooter was a White male, and now that it's been confirmed, complete silence. Or 'muh gun control'. In B4 the Democrats spin this into a Russia collusion narrative. Last edited by MrSmiley21 on Oct 3, 2017, 11:27:37 AM
