Daily reminder that MF is an outdated mechanic and needs to leave.
" For this to actually happen there'd need to be modifiers on loot drops as you go up to higher maps. That said it does already happen to an extent in t16 maps where the bosses drop specific unique items. Nerfing/removing IR/IQ wouldn't really help accomplish this as you can run them on maps regardless of level (tho gl killing t16 bosses with IR/IQ gear/gems). |

i like the idea someone brought up about having a special mod that effects iir iiq.. lets say luck stat
blessing vs curse? luck vs cursed ? fate rating? fate vs doom? something like that, maybe new league, and theres orb to reroll it, and its like +iiq or -iiq or sometimes yeah like 4% increased chance of rare rings or 2% increased chance of alchemy orb |

Has OP ever made a coherent argument against MF in this entire thread? He isn't complaining about MF. He's complaining about low drop rates. That doesn't mean MF is "outdated" or "needs to leave."
This sounds like a personal problem. If you play this game to find rare items, then you stack item rarity and sacrifice something for it. If you play this game to grind to lvl 100 as quickly as possible, then you sacrifice item rarity for survivability and speed. The fact that currency drop rates are unaffected by MF makes it even less of an issue to complain about. Personally I think MF needs a buff. MF felt good in D2. I don't know what's different in PoE but MF feels pretty lame. Maybe bosses need more inc rarity of drops. If a monster has a gold name, I should be able to stack MF and farm uniques. The higher the mlvl, the better the uniques. But then there's also the problem of like >95% of uniques being worthless. |

" Basically a tldr, Drop rates are trash because MF exists. They nerfed iir and iiq and made iiq gem legacy and then increased drop rates. The problem is MF is still to good. In short, remove MF from game and increase drop rates again to where it should have always been. The economy is where it is because MF boss killing all day everyday is still very profitable compared to actually mapping, the thing you are supposed to be doing post 60. Every time an item drops its a chance to roll gg stats, something MF have an advantage of. Not all MF charactets have yo make a sacrifice at all to gain that advantage. MF flame totem or the new melee totems require no specific gear. The gameplay style compliments the fact you will be sacrificing survivability for iir and iiq gear as totems are like decoys and they last much longer now (totem survivability). As much as I like crushing the market and making it into my bitch aka like you know Some of you honestly think this is actually okay? You want drops to be dogshit unless you wear dogshit gear to do the hardest shit in the game which is well obviously not going to happen not with my build anyway.

Why remove choice?
The more choice you remove, the worse the game becomes. Being mad about not being able to BOTH maximize the power of a build and SIMULTANEOUSLY collect mad currency, is the exact reason why MF should stay imo. Drops are already upped to the point you don't need any MF to gear up your toons decently. I don't use MF at all, but I like the idea of having a choice of using it if I want to at some point. |
