People still don't realize that MF is the reason why their drops are garbo ;V

I think that, instead of MF being a blanket increase to finding all kinds of things, it should be a niche increase to finding specific things. For example, instead of gloves with 21-25% increased rarity of items found, gloves with 81-100% increased rarity of helmets found. Or boots found, or belts, or whatever. But not gloves; gloves you wear to find better gloves are silly.

Technically, players could still stack MF in every item category under such a system. But it would take about 2.5 times as many affixes of commitment (1/10th the scope, 4x the power). MF would mostly become a niche thing to self-grind specific desired equipment.

I think the best analogy for the current system is: imagine there was a rare affix and several unique items with "x% increased Damage." No typing or anything, just a blanket bonus which worked with pretty much every build. Would that be an interesting affix? Would it lend character to items with it?

I think it's actually a good thing to have stuff like MF for players to delve into when their characters already one-shot and never-die against the speed-farm content they're choosing to speed-farm. I'm not the jealous type to hate on playstyles. But I don't think that's an excuse for making it blanket-boring instead of specific and diverse.

Maybe a unique or two could have universal MF. Like Le Heup of All's generic damage increase, that could be what's unique about it. But it's really silly for generic MF to be spammed as much as it is.

How misinformed are you now. People don't give 2 shits about MF, they have no incentive to really stack it or quantity anymore when they buffed the shit out of unique drop rates.

Id like mf to be removed and mf affixs replaced with something else. With the removal double the drop rates of everything and problem solved.
