Path of Exile 2.4.0: Atlas of Worlds Patch Notes

really bad news for my favorite class "juggernaut" 100% to 30% unrelenting? -70% and you say still good? is not good because I'm using self casting immortal call. you reduce discharge damage so what's the use of reducing chance of generating endurance btw I'm not a discharger so I dont care about discharge!!! i want to ask a question is there any limitation on armour? say i got 70%, then i cast 8 endurance charges and its goes only at 90%, even i have 75% armour it goes 90%. there's a new unique which i want to try "the brass dome", i got an idea of pushing armour to the limit, and try to take 40% increase phys damage? tnx

Just th eusual GGG style "I dont have a fucking clue what I am doing but I hit it with the nerf hammer as hard as I can" - and nerfs are not about bringing stuff into line but obliteration of skills or items...

Lets see - mjölner builds were okay - not even tremenduously op not in the line of EQ or blade vortex - EQ got a smaller aftershock damage as a nerf while mjölner builds:

Lost reliable charge refill from juggernaut
Got a 35% damage nerf when triggered
mjölner no longer triggers all spells
mjölner triggers have half a second delay...

ANY one of these would have been cripling but no. you needed to add 4 parallel nerfs at once...
Seriously... Fuck you guys.. I regret getting a supporter pack... You can always surprise me how far you can go into utterly brainless nerfs.

It is incinerate all over again - lets remove a skill gem from the game... why not all of them? the game would certainly be more challenging with only autoattacks... -.-
The difference is that incinerate was at least FOTM and relatively strong when it got nerfed first... Then of cours ggg monkeys decided to backwards nerf all chaos conversion items hitting again an already nerfed incinerate.

Again - I don't care about meaningful nerfs - but when a stronger skill gets a small nerf and a weaker one gets 4 big ones that is retarded...

This^^^

I hate to say this (im very dissapointed), but this strange changes starting to remind me D3 incompetence dev team ....

Thank you for this patch, GGG. Finally even the more uncritical players can see how the game is going down the drain. Perhaps this is the waking call the player base needed. Perhaps it will cause the uproar YOU need to get your shit together and finally fix the game.

lol.

Heavy Strike: 5% more damage.
Glacial Hammer: 6% more damage.

Goes to show how much GGG knows about melee.
GGG, if you DOUBLED the damage @level 20 single target melee skills did they would still lag behind bows & spells in the endgame.

So freaking sad, teaches me right for having hope in you actually progressing towards melee balance.
You relegated a whole archetype to a NICHE, good freaking job.

Are you seriously suggesting that distorting a graphic to say 23 to 103 is not an argument? Because it's not an argument.

23 to 44 fps is nothing in the gaming world. Average human eye registers up to 255 FPS, but 23 to 44 fps is a negligible difference. It's basically the same. Especially compared to high end maps with a large party. I highly doubt this difference is going to effect that. As I said, we'll see.

What do you mean distoring a graphic?

As for your comment about fps, you are clearly misinformed. You make it sound is if the experience of smoothness increases in a linear manner with the fps number. It doesn't. A change from 20-40 fps is huge but a change from 100-140 is small. To be accurate the human eye doesn't have a specific fps limit.

However if you are talking about the highest frame rate of video the human eye can perceive on average, then this doesn't go much higher than 60-75 frames per second. The reason gaming may feel smoother on higher fps has nothing to do with the capabilities of the eye but another factor called input lag. What you are perceiving as lag after a point is the lag between the time you move your mouse and the time you see a change in the screen. This depends of course on your equipment as each piece of hardware from your mouse to the monitor introduces some input lag.

Also synchronization between the fps of the game and the screen frame rate can also cause additional lag, this is why technologies like g-sync were invented.

I understand that marketing plays an important role in forming understanding of how fps and the human eye work. We are bombarded for example with advertisement of 600hz TVs that make you see motion smoother but in reality they are not really 600Hz, rather the algorithm they use to make the image look smoother super samples the frame rate to a higher value to process frames with a higher accuracy.

By curiosity though, what are the fps ranges for other video games you play? Unless you only play old video games or some indie video games that are not particularly demanding, chances are your average fps is much lower than 255 fps. I am wondering where did you get that number too, I have never heard of it.

I never do other builds than melee, i always make my own builds, never follow like a sheep streamer builds, because GGG always nerf them, but damm are a shit to waste your time to the hell, and about play temp leagues, many people loves to play standard, this league ill stay on standard because prophecy was fucking boring, after a month, economy become shit, and leveling are cancer, and I enojoy more standard this time, seems like many "elite" players have problems with that.

Well good luck and because u have problems, only one person, they need to destroy the game for many others, that invested tons of hours, wish u enjoy more the game, many people are so selfish on this game, like i said, wath a great community!!!

PD: sorry to not specify, the conversation was not with you, was with southsidepopper, sorry for the miss understanding.

I remember that there are about 20% players are in std, so I'm not the "only one person" like you said.

btw, if you're interested, the reasons why I don't like std are:

no new league uniques/mechanics → boring;
economy is always shit regardless in what month you play, and players usually afk/not log in when you pm;
risk of being nerfed suddenly, and become depressed like some of you;
legacy items;
rares that made from eternals which you'll not get anyway,
etc etc..
