" To be fair, I actually don't see anything specifically stating that Mjolnir has the same 500ms cooldown as COC. There's just an aside "these items and skills have a cooldown which limit how often a skill is cast". The mjolnir cooldown might not be 500ms. But, yes, the total crippling was severe. I'm estimating about a 90% loss in dps, with some significant loss in defenses as well. That said, there's a lot of harshness here and that isn't entirely deserved. The game is super fun, and though I have been working on this character and build for years (months specifically with this combination), and certainly would prefer if they hadn't dropped the hammer so hard, we didn't donate in exchange for any favors and nerfs do some pretty regularly. Maybe GGG will reconsider some of this at some point, but in the meantime we can always enjoy new builds in Essence. And, just an aside, you can't really say that discharge+jugg+mjolnir combo was weak. I mean, you can walk right up to Uber Atziri and pound her into the ground without moving and just by pumping a flask or two. It needed to be changed. " You don't seem to appreciate the complexity of a game engine and how this integrate with the game. A game engine isn't like a graphics card where you can just replace it with a faster one. It's effectively a very complex system where everything in the game is build around it and it has many parts. So obviously improving the parts of the engine is important and can make a difference. What do you mean by them moving to a new engine? Do you mean they should build one from scratch? That would need a tremendous amount of resources and it would probably be a waste of time. Should they buy one existing engine someone else made? First of all it may be quite expensive. However even if you overlook the cost, are you suggesting that there is an existing engine that is suitable for path of exile and it is significantly better? If so can you point it out? People that have no understanding of how software development works, should do some research before they start talking nonsense like, the solution is to move to a new engine as if the engines are like a solid block of code that can be replaced or that an engine can be objectively better than another in all cases. | |

The first impression after i read patchnotes is: "I'm fking done with this game." No idea if i will play this patch. You take away most fun part of every game. Triggers, procs, buffs etc. Nerf this nerf that... gosh. If i would want to selfcast spells i rather go play D3 with better setting, performance, animation, support, comfortable playstyle. Its freaking frustrating.

" You are reading that wrong. It's not from 23 to 103. It's 23 to 44 FPS. Which is basically nothing, and probably even less of a improvement at end-game maps. Continue believe whatever makes you feel better though. We'll see in two days. But as I said, they are wasting their time on the engine. those -35% damage nerf of discharge probably is pretty harsh.
BUT maybe. I say MAYBE. It is because there is a pretty high buff from the upcoming items. So no worry guys yet - let's check 1st the new items, and maybe we will find it's not an issue actually. I was silenced for telling the name of USA president for 40 days.
I was silenced for stating "I am Jesus" for 5 days. Maybe it is time the deeds of the moderators to become public, so peoples understand that they hired a cheap mods which enforcing their "woke" agenda on players. |

I never do other builds than melee, i always make my own builds, never follow like a sheep streamer builds, because GGG always nerf them, but damm are a shit to waste your time to the hell, and about play temp leagues, many people loves to play standard, this league ill stay on standard because prophecy was fucking boring, after a month, economy become shit, and leveling are cancer, and I enojoy more standard this time, seems like many "elite" players have problems with that. Well good luck and because u have problems, only one person, they need to destroy the game for many others, that invested tons of hours, wish u enjoy more the game, many people are so selfish on this game, like i said, wath a great community!!! Thank you for this patch, GGG. Finally even the more uncritical players can see how the game is going down the drain. Perhaps this is the waking call the player base needed. Perhaps it will cause the uproar YOU need to get your shit together and finally fix the game.
