Race Event Season One announced!

Can someone explain exactly what "turbo" is? I have not found a definite anywhere.

The biggest crock of shit in this whole thing is the claim that orb prizes have an "adverse effect on the economy". Hello? There are no item sinks in your game? Maybe that is the problem Chris, and not the race prizes? The economy is bound to have inflation regardless, and until you address that in other ways, race prizes being "collector art" aren't going to prevent the inevitable inflation in default leagues.

So why fix what isn't broken (race prizes that get half the population to participate)? How about fixing what IS broken instead, aka the lack of item sinks so that the economy doesn't go to shit ANYWAY?

The new race system looks really cool!

However, there is strong irony about giving a "low life" unique item as the first reward, considering the current state of the game.

If there are not individual currency awards per race then the prize system sucks IMO.

I agree with what many people are saying. I have no interest in investing a huge amount of free time for a shot at a couple lackluster uniques that I could buy in HC trade chat for a chaos each. The CB prize model was much better and a LOT less grindy.

Furthermore, the scheduling is terrible. There is no reason that ANY (non-cutthroat) races should be forcibly restricted to a single timeslot. Instead, they should be "You may play 1 hour within this 24-hour period" to accommodate people all over the world, and the results (fastest overall times) would be announced at the end of the 24-hour period.

Also, 1st Hillock kill is really silly. Please remove it.

Mobs move and attack much faster than a normal mode. Iirc it's about 60% faster.

Also for those going crazy saying the ilvl 100 ring is OP, keep in mind it can still only roll stats that are currently implemented in the game, up to ilvl 77. You can't get more life in your coral ring than any end-game player can in their white corals.

I'm still going to participate because I'm competitive and am aiming to win a Demigod's Triumph, and maybe the Goldrim because I don't have one yet. If you don't like the race format, probably the best way to voice your discontent, on top of constructive feedback, is to not participate. If participation is low that will be a very loud and clear sign to GGG that changes must be made for future events and seasons.

Dissapointed.

The rewards are lackluster to say the least.
