The Labyrinth needs a total re-work.

Your measureing stick is who is playing during the last 2 weeks of a league before a hyped expansion?
Guild Leader The Amazon Basin <BASIN>

Labyrinth is totally cool.

Good rewards (Ascendancy points, enchants), 10-15 mins for average runner with char not made for running, and it's pretty stable lately and doesn't crash.

People cry about wasting time when the only real thruth is that it's too hard for them and/or their characters.

You can skip the content or buy the service... You ain't seeing me crying about Uber Atziri after getting my ass kicked, do you?

Man up people, Lab is not that hard, and it's pretty interesting too. Could use a tweak or two, but content is pretty awesome.
I came back 4-5 weeks ago, i had two players on at one time. Still remember that day. Its not a big deal, i prefer solo, just saw a dip since the lab.

I dont play leagues, may start on the next one though.

I have one person on my flist that still logs in, including the new friends i made in the past month.

Would you say content that makes players quit is successful?

I personally hate act4 with an absolute passion, especially the Malachai fight wich is like the game vomiting VFX in your face on a really small area. Even worse, it's "really" mandatory and you get no reward for doing it. Yet I deal with it because I only have to do it twice.

You only have to do the lab 3 times and you can choose when to do it, you're not gated behind and it rewards you (plus they are absolute cake walk when you are overleveled).

The REAL reason players are not logging anymore is because the game is staling content wise (lab was released 6 months ago and doesn't offer lot of replayability if the rewards doesn't interest you.), AoW should bring back quite a lot of them.

What content? A new boss and doors? Its the same thing with more annoying obstacles to get to the same place prepatch.

No I don't, I do it once to kill Volls (and proceed to the next quest to get my skill point) then go straight to mapping (chaining tropical island and pit maps is way more fun). Do you see me spamming everyday about it because I feel Devs are entitled to change the game according to my own vision of it ?

One thing i did notice is the talent Resolute Technique makes it possible to do +7

With the actual pathing of the game you are doing something wrong if you're not level 65+ when you reach act4 merci (You don't even have to grind area like Fellshrine or The Docks like back in the days).

They probably quit and are playing something else

Wich I'm glad they did, they can enjoy a game they really like instead of spending their time complaining here and we can have our forum back. Everyone win.

Regardless of who is right or wrong, it's pretty sickening to see some people being actually *happy* to see other players leave.

This is far from a 'win-win' situation.

Many players leave over the labyrinth. They lose a game they used to love.
GGG loses the financial support of those players.
Which means even *you* lose over time, because less money for GGG is less new content in the future.

Where is there any 'win' in all that ? Oh right, you get to not see people of different opinions posting on 'your' forum (yours, huh ? And here I was, dense as I am, thinking forums were meant for all players).

While people leaving over the lab are most certainly a minority, don't be too quick to assume they're a *tiny* minority. Nobody has actual numbers on this, short of a survey conducted and advertised by GGG, which will never happen.

They could be 5%. Or they could be 45%.

Only sure thing is that nowadays, less than 15% of people play HC. You could think (that is, if you gave a fuck) most players just switched to SC, but it's most probably not the case. It's practically impossible to switch to SC when you've been playing HC all your life. You simply fall asleep on your keyboard.

Personnally I still consider the %-damage trap mechanics as unfair, in a HC perspective. And I believe it's a big reason for the plumetting of HC attendance.

I was on the verge of leaving when labyrinth came out, and then I thought "well, GGG is no more a 10-people team, so now there is some 'inertia' to the balancing of things, based on feedback and statistics on their side.. so let's give them time to react."
So I played Prophecy and enjoyed myself.

Now if, as you 'predicted', there is not a single line about the labyrinth in 2.4 patch notes, that will be the last straw for me.

And you can be sure that giving *you* the satisfaction of being right is in no way enough to offset *my* disapointment about leaving a game I love and support since closed beta days.

It's safe to assume it's not a win on GGG's side either.
Please. No more labyrinth.
