You sure know a lot of bad taste, lacking self-respect or pride to write something like this.
The hashtags make it even more worse tbh.
Big lack of respect here too, good job.
I had not read a something that ... no, the correct adjectives to use here could all be considered "needlessly negative I'm pretty sure, it is obvious enough anyway.

Endgame could be an A strength opponent (1800-1999).
I could make a killing carrying players in the Endgame since I'm rated an expert (2170) by the U.S. Chess Federation. Heck, most people would have to buy a carry for even Normal. I could really make a big killing. If people complained then I could just say they need to "git gud" and this would really be true, unlike the current labyrinth!
Are you implying that the difference between labyrinth and a chess game for you is that the chess game would allow you to wave your e-penis in front of everyone ?
First, if thats true Turtle im impressed man even if thats not the reason you posted this, speaks a lot about you and explains the calmness with which you often approach discussions.

Irony
Its to bad Turtledove would actually stop playing POE simply because they dislike AC points being in lab. But, I would not bring "skill" into any discussion about POE. By nature RPG's do not require skill. How does one need skill in a game that is all about stats on gear, and those stats determine if you are weak or not. There is 0 skill in POE.
POE is all about knowledge. That is what seperates the weak from the strong. Copying builds in forums is not how you gain that knowledge.
Change can be problematic. Some people have adjustment issues. Turtledove seems to be having this issue. The assumption that previous content has been optional so AC must also be optional is a mediocre escuse. I made it quite clear how AC is different than those additions or changes to the game in the past. Not going to repeat myself.

When I complain that labyrinth is not fun and I want to play PoE instead of Frogger to earn ascendancy points. People have responded many times that I need to "git gud". This is false since getting gud solves none of those problems and would not really help me earn the ascendancy points. Turning it around to my statement. If someone said that playing the new content is not fun and they want to play PoE instead of chess. I could respond that they need to "git gud". This would have at least some truth in it because they likely would not have enough chess skill to even pass the challenge.

It's true that when I stopped playing tournament chess my rating was 2170. It was not meant to be bragging and I can relate many examples where chess players were not calm in their reactions. :-) Actually I just checked the USCF website and I'm still in their database but they have lowered my ELO rating to 2041. They sometimes do global rating adjustments. Although since I haven't played tournament chess in over twenty years, I'm sure that I would have difficulty playing at even a 2041 strength.

I'm not going to bother to read through all of these threads and posts, so I don't know if anyone else has made this suggestion:
Lots of people complain about having to do all of this crap in one sitting, and any one misstep, be it a horrible trap gauntlet accident or one of those one shot crits which totally only exist if you have a shitty build ("Why don't you play meta? It's current year, after all!") will send you back to the entrance, rendering any time and energy investment completely void and making the lab a waste of time.
The fix is ridiculously simple: Just put a checkpoint AFTER every boss. If you die, the instance gets reset and you spawn at that checkpoint. You'll still have to do the trap gauntlet and kill the next boss from 100%, but you don't get that kick in your balls if you slip up during the Izaro fight.
It would make the lab much less frustrating to run, and I might even consider not letting my guild mates with meta builds pull me through it.

I think this is another first post on the labyrinth controversy! Welcome. Your suggestion is a good one that has been suggested probably hundreds of times. It would help reduce frustration significantly, especially for people that don't enjoy trap game play.

Problem is that not everybody has the same issue with the labyrinth. This suggestion is a good example. For some it would satisfy them. For you it would not. So lumping everybody together like you're trying to do with this thread is not fair. There is no agreed upon "problem" with the lab, so counting the number of different topics or posters is making a meaningless statement.
