I think this is another first post on the labyrinth controversy! Welcome. Your suggestion is a good one that has been suggested probably hundreds of times. It would help reduce frustration significantly, especially for people that don't enjoy trap game play.
Problem is that not everybody has the same issue with the labyrinth. This suggestion is a good example. For some it would satisfy them. For you it would not. So lumping everybody together like you're trying to do with this thread is not fair. There is no agreed upon "problem" with the lab, so counting the number of different topics or posters is making a meaningless statement.


Hi Mark, I disagree. The suggestion would reduce the frustration for me included. It does go to the same problem. The problem is that Ascendancy points are gated behind doing labyrinth. While it is true that this particular suggestion would not satisfy me and others completely, that is a secondary issue. Many of the potential solutions documented in the OP of "SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]" would satisfy me completely as well as most of the people that only have a problem with a lack of town portals and only do labyrinth for the ascendancy points, for example.

Also, as I've mentioned before my guess is that GGG will be divorcing labyrinth and ascendancy points completely and gating the ascendancy points behind new content. This would also satisfy me as well as most everyone else. I suspect the main group that doesn't like that idea is players that are making a tidy in-game profit by carrying people through the labyrinth right now. Let's call them a vocal minority, just for jollies?

When I complain that labyrinth is not fun and I want to play PoE instead of Frogger to earn ascendancy points. People have responded many times that I need to "git gud". This is false since getting gud solves none of those problems and would not really help me earn the ascendancy points. Turning it around to my statement. If someone said that playing the new content is not fun and they want to play PoE instead of chess. I could respond that they need to "git gud". This would have at least some truth in it because they likely would not have enough chess skill to even pass the challenge.

So you could wave your e-penis against those people that told you "git-gud", fair enough.

It has nothing to do with meta build man, any build built well enough ( there can be tons of ) should be able to do Izaro.

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

The devs made a mistake and they don't want to go back and solve it, they only made it worst adding 1 more lab and probably will solve this when they need more people playing the game.

For the player: Why you are attacking a suggestions to make a game better like your live depend on that? You are all basically saying: "YOU SHOULD LIKE WHAT I LIKE, GET GUD"

To be fair to GGG, the endgame lab was in development prior to the initial Ascendancy release.

On the forum, there's almost always a vocal minority that lobbies for keeping the status quo. As Michelle Obama said, "When they go low, we go high."

I honestly assumed that you were kinda, and my following answer was basically on the same tone, I am not really trying to be a jerk there lol.


But honestly, there is a point in the fact that if the lab was piss easy ( and thus take almost no time, I personally usually spend like maybe 20~25 mins in the lab or so when I run it, but I know that if you rush it you can aim for less than 10 ) ... people would complain wayy less.
So the "git-gud" hammer here is usable to an extent.
Just throwing it completely without anything else is silly though.

You do not know if it would make the game better, there are many opinions about it, that is what is being discussed essentially.
