Why the uber lab is a fuck-up

Remember that hundreds of pages long solo self found league thread? Yeah the one you all said "no we don't want this".

So now we are in a multi player league and build efficiency RELATIVE TO OTHER BUILDS is something YOU forced upon the community.

So now you don't get to come in here saying "nobody forces you to do lab". Builds that cannot complete lab and thus lose two GAME CHANGING ascendancy points is not optional. You are either playing a build that can do endgame content or you get shit on in the economy.

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.

The payload trap is a complete troll lol.

I had one where the spike pillars were moving back and forth RIGHT through the middle of the payload...literally causing me to have to walk around the pillar spike trap as it traveled back and forth. I couldn't get around it. So i had to quit lab and start over lol.

(pillar coming from behind me) || --> (me)-->o <-- || (pillar one coming at me)

it still doesnt change the fact they are taking more damage than a glass cannon. It is still unfair to them.

ES being completely broken b4 2.30 is because of this. Traditionally ES is relying on high life pool to take up all the damage. By making trap damage base on percentage, they have to fix that problem in 2.3 by making it do 60% of what it did to life pool.

IMO, trap damage should have been the same as a boss attack, trap should do a flat big real heavy damage that nearly 1 shot a glass cannon, and still pretty deadly to tank build if they are not careful & take a few hits.


Its good that traps deal % of HP dmg. Players of PoE are just poor. They just have high stats and it allow them to faceroll over the content, but when they get hit hard and cant faceroll anymore the cries begin. I would make it even more fair, every build 1 hit of trap = insta death. No mercy for everybody. Make traps less complex but more punishable if you make mistake, like in old nes games.

It's not just the uber lab that's a fuck-up, it's all of the labs that's a fuck-up.

lol at game changing. we had same content last league without these two points and game was the same. Hell we had no ascendancy points and same content before ascendancy and game content was still the same.

Op, your logic of if something is optional, then game is optional, is beyond bad. There are plenty of things that are optional for a game, and in this game things like lvl 100, perfect helm enchant, mirrored gear and so on are all clearly optional. And in fact, I'd argue having optional things is clearly good for the game as it presents more options and choices, as well as goals.

Using your logic tho, if getting married is optional in context of life, you might not even live. That'd just dumb.
