Loading is faster, but in game performance are actualy worse?

My fps is horrible here as well with all the in game loading. Just let us have the old load back, let us type a command like -fullload. I died quite a few times because the screen freezes at nothing, and I used to play just fine, even on perandus mobs it wasn't that bad.

i play now with 2.3c and the sutter are gone! i dont know if this is the patch or i play in the morning and not prime time.

Its definitely better than 2.3b



EDIT: Ok the performance is not really better.

Now after the "IMPROVEMENTS" lightning arrow + chain is UNPLAYABLE!! I`m playing with 3 fps when i hit mobs with LA. When i enter the map for first time i can`t play for up to 1 min and then when i hit the mobs for first time game is freezing.

Its a shame that GGG won`t answer to this theme as they did to other themes at this forum section.
So yeah this game is free to play, but it is for ppls which didn`t microtransactions !!!

All lightning spells are causing fps drops from years and GGG still can`t fix it?
Its an 2009 game and for 7 years they didn`t fix anything they just make it worse and worse with every single patch.

So as many players already did i`m likely leaving this shit forever cause i`m pissed off waiting 7 years for nothing ( years that I can not go back ).

LA is causing massive lag (independent of chain), even on smaller packs and w/o extra packsize. Sometimes screen freezes for up to 5 sec or blacks out completely. Rig is a bit dated (i7, 16GB, GTX760, SSD), but I can play any other titles out there just fine. Performance was much better with 2.2.

If any of you are playing as Slayer and have the "Headsman" node, it will cause massive lag when you kill packs. I just tested by removing the Headsman node, and the lag was completely gone.

Same here. Mass fps spikes because of "new preloading system". Even after waiting few minutes in each new location.
Launch taskmsg.exe, check: every time PoE starts "preload" new resources, it drops fps to 2-5 from 100+.
3-seconds preload-freezing near rare packs means rip.

GGG, please make an option to allow us disable "preloading".

want to see the official reaction of GGG on all this - and want to say something to GGG - PLEASE test this game on 5-7 years old Computers - not the newest one ).

They don't care at all, since people are enough stupid to buy prophecy packs before being able to play the new patch and check if they were right or fooling about it.

And yeah after Rampage/Torment/Talisman/Darkshrines/Perandus starts, and all issues there were at starts, we can easily state than GGG does not test their patch at all.

If they did have tested correctly there wouldn't have been issues we are meeting each new release because tester would have notice it, since its clearly impossible to not notice it. And yeah test a new patch on a Top End GG config is ridiculous too, but since we know now that GGG's staff is upset optimizing their own abonimation for old OS users it is not thats surprising to b honnest.

--nopreload in launch options helps me a lot with this problem. Loading times for zones can be really long sometimes, but at least its not constant 10 fps anymore.

Not sure if it will help you, but give it a try.

Historically GGG is a company cares about their audience and try to do things to fix prblms as soon as possible.

But

This time I don't think that's gonna happen, they been trying to "force" the player to upgrade their computers even from ascendancy patch when Win 7 32bit is straight up excluded, and now if you have hdd you are done for. GGG can't roll back to old loading, I doubt they can do that technically if they even wanted to. and if they didn't have a "loading type" option already, the chance they can provide that in a short time is not pretty.

I can't play prophecy league at all, can play SC if I'm not using certain skills and stay in my hideout if the initial appearance in town didn't crash the game, that's fun right?

just return the settings to standard (2gb), helped me and some others with technical issues after 2.3.
