Loading is faster, but in game performance are actualy worse?
want to see the official reaction of GGG on all this - and want to say something to GGG - PLEASE test this game on 5-7 years old Computers - not the newest one ).

I really don't get the change...most games try to improve game performance and initial start time is irrelevant if game performance is good. But for some reason GGG has gone the opposite direction and have sacrificed game performance to speed up initial start up.
I'm using a nearly 4 year old pc, but its still well above min reqs and used to load game in around 10seconds or so and never had lag playing...now I get lag playing in exchange for saving 10 seconds of time at start, great exchange there... running AMD fx8150 3.6GHz 8-core processor, 16GB ddr3 memory, Kingston hyper x fury SSD, HD 7950 3GB ddr5 graphics Windows 10 pro |

Please give us back the old loading, this new loading is terrible and it's going to screw my hdd.
Also +1 to "Please test the game on older machine". What are your testing dude doing? Expecting everyone having the newest rig? I Believe I Can Fly ~~~~ Last edited by dda550#3843 on Jun 4, 2016, 9:06:32 PM

+1 here, i cant play the game anymore, with every "improvement" that ggg does the game feels worse for me. Free to play games should be optimized, not made heavier and heavier. They are hurting their own playerbase.
Look at dota 2, they know that a shit ton of people play from really shitty computers so the game has a ton of optimization and you can run it smooth on a wooden pc from 10 years ago, just switching some detail levels. |

I've been having the same issue.
For me, the game worked fine in 2.2 - but now that we're in 2.3, and now that they've changed the loading, the game is just outright worse. My framerate is now in the single- or low double-digits, and I used to get a solid 50. I'm not sure if this'll work for everyone, but in the patch notes GGG mentions enabling preloading for Windows XP, and I seem to be getting a performance boost from running the game in compatibility mode. Seems like disabling sound (-ns in the launch options, if you're using the Steam version like I am) might help too. Best of luck until this all gets resolved. I hope it does, anyway. This is just a mess. |

My game keeps dropping my frame rate and my latency sky rocket for like 1 sec, but when i try to fight my latency go to 500 - 700...

Same here.
Droped from vsync caped 60 fps to hardly 40. Since i got an SSD i didnt mind the startup load anyway... Might we get an option to choose the prefetch method ? Party play was never smooth, with this patch it is literally impossible.
My computer could handle full party Perandus league play, hailed as one of the laggiest, most fps-tanking leagues. Now? I tried doing a zana rotation... literally a slide show. Full hangs every few seconds, about 5 fps when not hanging... Later tried partying up with one other player. Still choppy to the point where you fear for your character's life and gameplay is therefore unenjoyable. This has become beyond ridiculous. What happened out there? Does it have to do with the load time/sound improvements? Because it is NOT worth it. I'd rather wait a a minute per zone than have this. Whatever took place between 2.2 and 2.3 that might have caused this performance hit, you guys need to find out and mash the undo key for dear life. Your game is unplayable in a party on low-medium settings on a computer running windows 10, an ssd, a gtx960 and a modern i7. Last edited by boof#2056 on Jun 5, 2016, 1:08:39 AM
