When Chris says that lab haters are a minority, how right is he?

People will be busy enjoying Prophecy but the problem will remain, lab sucks. Once Prophecy hype will fall, the shitty smell of labyrinth will pierce through the fun.

Its like having your friend's car covered in shit and it smells hard and he's like " Its ok, when we'll be at 120kmh on the highway we wont smell it" doesnt change the fact that the car is covered in shit and once you're not on the highway anymore, the smell comes back

False analogy = poor "argument"

sorry, lab is awesome. Lab hating masochists can keep whining- for the other haters the door is right there.

Yeah it's like that.. for ten days.
Then back to normal.

Ah, but what is normal? Current ingame population certainly isn't normal, neither is the first week after release of new content because we have an influx of people that come back to the game. Some of them usually expect bigger or just different changes and then soon leave after a few of them create complaint threads in the forum, which is the backlash you noticed. You'll also notice complaints are different than those we have now, mostly related to game design overall, poor loot, clunky trading, lag, the sort of things that the current forum population is largely used to.

We can probably say that the game is in its 'normal' state after a month into the new league, market is stable, the amount of people playing is stable and the feedback from prophecy starts trickling in. That's probably the best time to pay attention to feedback.

Now, this may or may not be a surprise, but we're most likely being ignored during the interim, devs are busy with the new release and very little of the feedback that comes in during that time is something they can really use and I assume they know that.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Chris is right.

I didn't realize how unskilled level 100 map farmers were until they started dying to lab traps. Most of us are here to play a game, not just pull a handle on a slot machine.

I love the lab. The daily changes, the traps, Izaro - all amazing.

Sadly, it's not rewarding. I can get better loot farming Dry Lake.

I think he's wrong but they spent too much ressources for it to admit it now. Let's wait for next league, I'm pretty sure they'll add another way to get ascendency points. Not doing so would be suicidal.

Maybe because they are PRO at ARPG and that... Lab aint an ARPG mechanic

and mostly, why would you practice at something boring and tedious like this

Looking at the numbers, it looks like the lab is driving away a lot of players.

I agree they probably did spend a lot of resources on the Lab but then again they have to set their egos aside and realize the lab is a fail. It fails only because they gated points behind it and the RNG for enchants is horrendous. Has anyone done the odds of getting an enchant you want? Let me tell ya... It's not even 1% chance more like .9 and that is if everything is weighted the same.
With higher production values, its impossible to keep making the game for yourself and selected few.
Path of exile now lies through streamlining and catering to majority.

And majority decided that theres too much action in action rpg.
