When Chris says that lab haters are a minority, how right is he?

Yes and go to POE reddit and count the number of positive threads and you will see more positive biased there (hack, you will not find a negative one where they talk about how PoE shit ever on top voted ones). And when someone posted a poll there without linking it here, and has similar results as in the forum, its says actually a lot, that there is really no negative bias (at least when we are talking about lab), and that its a wrong assumption from people here.

As said if you post a poll on two different sites, one that is very positive, and has similar end results to thsi forum. It says something about what how the community likes the lab

Yea, except this is not "republican national convention " by political standards. That is where your logic fails, as you assume that the people presented on the forums are ones that only dont like the lab. And that is not the case.

I dont need to repeat myself, but the fact is, there where multiple polls done in different times, and different sites. And overall they all show one thing, big separation in community over the lab.

Just because you refuse to understand what he's saying doesn't mean his logic failed, but it means that you're dishonest.

And yeah polls made within 3 months sure had a very different population voting ... But oh ! What do I see ? You said "big separation" instead of majority hates the lab ? WOW I guess I misjudged you, and you're not a bad person after all, my apologies.

Because this is exactly what Chris said : Lab is indeed dividing the community, but that's not a bad thing (what's bad is the way the lab was introduced in game we can argue, and the fact that progress is lost if something happen, etc ...)

Bad person for talking about how many people like or dont like the lab? xD Common man. I didnt said majority likes or doesnt like it, but that the community is very divided by this matter, as shown by different poll, forums post, youtube posts and similar.

How I understand chris said that the lab haters are minority. But he did contradict him self later after saying a lot of people like the lab, but also a lot dont like it. So really dont know in the end what to think about his statement.

Chris-sedai didn't really contradict himself there. We've had cases in the past where he spoke the absolute truth but it wasn't the truth we seemed to hear. I'd put more stock into what he doesn't say instead of the things he does.

The next league sounds like one of the less hyped one since 2012 :(
At least for english speaking community. It is obvious for a couple of years they expand to new territories (russia, brasil, taiwan)

- grim dawn consolidated
- some people hate the direction where PoE looks more and more like D3 (instant gratification, big dmg, easy end game)
- some ppl hate the implementation of lab (I do)
- nugiyen wont play, invalesco is not back, kripparian prolly wont ”test” the new features
- maybe its just summer and ppl go out
- fps drops even for ”sick” computers. Im not trusting any ”good news/manifestos” till they make the client 64b. every year i upgrade my computer and nothing changes.

I wonder if we will see at least 15,000 concurent players tomorrow night.
And GGG has more employees than ever.

I hope they turn things around.

Never heard of a 'sample size'?

It's pretty much collecting views on abortion among the members of Operation Rescue. Size is irrelevant if you don't have a good sample, which we unfortunately can't obtain. Devs would have a better shot at it but I have no idea why would they bother, it's much easier to wait for the complaints to reach critical mass, if they ever do.

How so? Simply because forum posters are somehow more biased than people who do not post in the forum? That makes no sense whatsoever. And as far as complaints reaching 'critical mass', have you visited the Reddit page recently? I find it ironic that the devs are quick to post important updates and releases there prior to posting them in the forum, yet somehow manage to overlook all of the nasty lab critiques there. Again, I would really be interested in knowing how Chris is differentiating between 'enjoy running the lab' and 'begrudgingly running the lab for a decent enchantment'.
Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/
People are running the lab even if it's just once for the points thats all its needed to justify it.
Smash this pile of dog poop in your face at least 300 times to get an awesome enchantment!

It's easy, you just have to believe in your work. And I probably wrote enough by now about consumer mentality and why are poll participants randomly chosen if you want to get a bit of reliability in your data.

And about complaints, nah, still miles away from any amount that would trouble his sleep. Besides, it's the interim right now, if you haven't noticed, around this time people are bored and tend to entertain themselves by making complaint threads on ribbit or here. It's tradition and maybe a somewhat nasty one, but it can be hard to find a good way to let the venom out so there's no helping it, I do it too. Once the league starts you'll see the pitchforks fall, torches gutter out and the crowd disperse like hot wind. It's like that every time.
