When Chris says that lab haters are a minority, how right is he?
" Underleveled? Where the hack did you get that wrong information from? I did normal one at level 40, cruel one at level 60 something, and merc at level 80 something. Also what level I am doesnt change the difficulty of the lab traps, as they always do the same dmg, and there are no harder version of traps in later dif (not counting trials), or the boring part. Its just shitty content that looks like most people rush through because its "so fun". When I say first time lab, I mean with new random layout, not first time in game ever. |

" Yep... fanboys would waste a few hours making up fake accounts to skew the data. |

Edit: I really need to pick my battles and not waste time on everyone who says something dumb online. Response retracted.

" Maybe it would help if all accounts with their time under x:xx got publicly named and shamed? Dunno, just throwing ideas in here. And, if you'll pardon me saying as someone that's well on his way to level 8 on Leo, nothing is as much of a joke as PvP, period. We do have people running lab, for this reason or that, and if the competitive aspect of it gets ignored - no big deal, because PvP isn't done almost at all, competitively or otherwise. You know, as Leo puts it 'just a few fellow exiles looking to knock the stuffing out of one another in a most friendly fashion', well nobody seems to be interested in that. And that's kinda strange, because PvP in most online games has a stable population even if there aren't any rewards, but not here. Which means it just sucks too much to handle, though devs aren't really at fault for the implementation, I've seen worse. It's just that the game isn't suited for it at all, so you'd be hard pressed to find a feature to suck as much. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" He doesnt. You can say also that people that are not happy with lab, also dont post on the forum, they just leave/quit the game after some time they get feed up with it. Last edited by miljan#1261 on May 29, 2016, 4:07:38 PM

" You know, kinda funny you mentioned that, because it doesn't really happen. History has shown scams of that sort are much more common on the black ball side, the other one doesn't really bother unless they're getting paid for it. I was saying something about that a few pages ago. Or, if you aren't willing to discuss the peculiarities of human nature, you can accept this - the side that complains does it because the target of complaints is already there so they're doing it in hopes of improving the situation and the other side wants to keep the current state. It is natural to exert more effort if you want to change something than to preserve it. " A makeup ? Where that came from ? And Miljan, of course some players who dislike the lab aren't posting, but if you and Jennik weren't dishonest you would agree that there are more more topics about unliked content that appreciated one, and that doesn't mean that said content is disliked by the majority of the player base. Honesty ? Nowhere to be found. "Gkek#1581":

" I am very honest. Are you? Lets find out. I actually dont know what majority likes or not. But the thing I know for sure is that there is a big part of POE playerbase that doesnt like the lab. And that the forum, youtube, reddit and other parts and places where people post there thoughts, are directly connected with what community thinks about something in the game. If there is a problem in game, you will see direct increase in number of "complains". That is how it will always work for anything. The problem is when some people in lack of logic try to suggested that there is a silent majority that will think different than what is presented by the part of that community that actually gives feedback, both positive and negative, as you see here some people defending the lab. So, what do you think, can you say when ever someone posts feedback about sometking, you can just say silent majority doest agree with that because they are happy playing the game, so nothing will ever change or get fixed for anything in nay game. "This silent majority you believe doesn't exist is the actual player base that doesn't use forums. I for one only was able to get into Path of Exile thanks to Labyrinth. It gave an interesting mechanic to an otherwise bland leveling process. The fact that it keeps players on their toes rather than glued to their TV screen makes the game worth playing. You can argue against labyrinth all you want, but it definitely has become an integral part of the game. |
