I'm not sure if I can think of a worse analogy than this. Asking people on a POE forum what they think about one aspect of POE is not remotely the same as assuming the opinions of a subset of people in one group will be representative of everyone who is not in their group. That's ignoring the fact that you know going into it that those opinions won't be remotely representative of other people's.

It's reasonable to assume that asking people who play POE about POE will provide you with a reasonable understanding of what POE players think about POE. It's not reasonable to assume that asking racists about the races they hate will tell you what everyone who's not a racist thinks about those races.

Its not a bad one, the current subset of players who are frequenting the forums tend to be extremely negative towards the game, weather that be balancing, quality of life, game optimization, etc.

The Path of Exile reddit was apparently once one of the most negative subreddits (soo ive heard but i dont know where you can find that information).

Those are the places the pole is being posted, with people who for the most part, are negative towards the game.

I mean fuck, look at builds that get posted to the reddit and look how cancer the comments are, especially on the youtube.

"Nice softcore scrub", "Shit build no one would play that", etc.

I don't understand the haters much. I played around 500+ hours in the perandus league. I'm not sure, but even if the LAB gates the ascendancy points... thats like what 1% of my playtime, and I get several enchantments too?

Most content in this game is GRIND. Getting to a high lvl, getting great gear (selffound), getting massive amounts of currency.

The Helm Enchantmens aren't even that great mostly, there are no build enabling enchantments. Sure if you want to to polish your build to 100% sorry lad, go grind some lab.

I'm personally not a big fan of LAB, but I don't dislike it.
HC LAB, dont do it, or do it when you are overleveled, same goes with pretty much all content in HC.

Is it boring? Maybe. Is it kinda shitty when you crash/disconnect in lag? Yes. Does it force you to run it? No.

If you don't wanna play lab don't. If you don't wanna play POE where there is lab content? Stop playing, go make a legacy server.

None, cause it's good thing. How many people bitch about lab? A lot.

The people who hate labyrinths main complaint was that you had to do multiple sets of trails over multiple characters which is being taken care of next patch.

You want the power ? You still need to earn it. GGG has been more than attentive to the quality of life concerning the labyrinth, theyve generously gave us that QOL.

Do you honestly think powerful points should just be free ? Because thats the only argument left at this point is people are too lazy to run what literally takes 6 minutes to do.

There are way way more complaints about lab then trials. Only 1 fact is with us and that is that lab is here to stay. The damage has been done, it will take some time to repair it.

I would prefer ASC points being gated behind Atziri kill or T15 boss kill, even for normal difficulty then lab.

Anyway, i hate the lab, i will do it for points to help Chris statement (jk), i dont mind spending 1 hour every 3-4 months on it.

If you ask people in your guilds, in parties or town or chat if they like the lab or not you may find the lab is far far more hated than the polls show.

Not that it matters either way because GGG seem to think they can fix all the games problems with a few new mtx's.

I can't see why content cant be gated behind difficulty instead of rng.

If the top tier enchants are so endgame then lab should be hard to do to get it. Not easy boring and rng gated.

The gated points behind the lab really needs to change in future. And I really hope that GGG will think about it, as they said. Its good that we got their attention. And that making part of the game more arcady/platform like is not what a big part of community likes. So the core part of the new mechanics needs really needs to be separated from the arcady part to fix this problem.

Facts:

- LAB Haters hate because THEY personally finds the LAB boring
- Forum straw polls are useless (at best)
- No one (not even GGG) knows how many people LIKES the lab
- The LAB is here to stay
- Suppression techniques are really transparent, and makes you look like an idiot
- The LAB is the most rewarding thing in PoE

So, keep on discussing.

Gated behind 18 minutes playtime? That's not even hard? If your build is Support, or lacks DPS ask a friend.

Not the way you think. That was based entirely on the language we use there, like "die," "kill," "destroy," and so on. Words like that are negative words, so POE's subreddit was called a negative subreddit. It wasn't about people hating each other or downvotes or anything like that.
