Some Ascendancy Statistics
I would do the labrynth more if it did not take too long to do. Lets not forget that you have to do the Trials as well.
With a wife, kid, and full time job I simply dont have the time. Add the poor game performance (thanks for looking into this Qarl!) the game is currently a turn off. GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

Interesting to see one of the breakdown that GGG didn't list, taking the list of characters that have achieved ascendancy and listing them by class rather than ascendancy, we get:
17.62% Shadow 15.93% Marauder 15.28% Duelist 14.71% Witch 13.52% Ranger 12.53% Templar 10.41% Scion Hardly surprising, given that you've got to work harder to get something great of the Scion's single ascendancy class. The reign of scions is well and truly at its end. I would be very interested in seeing a breakdown of the Scion's baby-ascendancies. Which ones are people using, and which combinations are people using. My gut feeling based is that only a few are being used due to the others being rather terrible, and the only way to make a Scion ascendancy build work better than one of the "pure" classes is to combine two baby ascendancies in a way that makes them work together in a way that's worth more than the sum of the parts or to have a wildly innovative build that manages to take advantage of treejumping.... but I'd love to know if I was wrong on this issue. Scionic Flametank 3.2: The classic ES-CI-ZO-GR regeneration tank is back in business, stronger than ever before with 50-60% ES/s recovery during most fights due to creative use of regeneration, leech, and recovery mechanics

Love statistics !
Not sure if the time in labyrinth will go up though ...
This game continues to exceed my expectations after every expansion since 2013, and I don't even play the challenge leagues. But I do always start new characters in Standard after updates instead of using existing ones.
My only request this time around is to somehow make the labyrinth scale with your level so you can better farm exp at a higher tier. Not necessarily making Izaro more difficult, but the mobs themselves. Maybe create a special labyrinth map sold by Zana that is only accessible after defeating Merciless Izaro. I would like to run the Labyrinth more, but it might not be worth doing repeatedly if I'm hardly getting any exp. Especially for the amount of time it takes to do. The lack of XP outweighs the prospect of the enchantments. Anyway, great job as always! |

These are always my favourite posts, I love reading the statistics of what is going on in the game. I also like that it shows the community that GGG is paying attention. Keep them coming!

I do enjoy playing labyrinth, but the risk-reward is so extremely unappealing that I pretty much quit after ascending. It was built for the dual purpose of farming enchants and gaining ascendency points, but in its current form I'm not surprised that it's mostly used for the latter. For many end game builds it's too dangerous to farm outside of a couple runs immediately after a level up. If you die at a cheap Izaro, you've wasted 10-40 minutes and any xp you might have had (or easy RIP in HC) since the enemy xp is negligible. If you win, you get to deal with 1/300ish enchant RNG. It's far more safe and efficient to farm maps and watch poe.trade for the enchants you want, which is a shame. I get why it's set up like it is though, and enchants shouldn't be easy to come by. I just wish I had more incentive to go back, because it really is a nice change of pace in there.

I'm not sure if other's feel the same way I do about why lab is such a low percent but my personal feelings on the matter is that it may have to do with Perandus league mods are not active in lab.
I would spend more time farming lab if I could get chests, Cadiro etc in the lab. I do what I need to accomplish for challenges then I am out and back to the league.I am to the point now that unless there is something in the lab runs that day that I need for a challenge then I just skip it. Given the track record of the past few leagues it feels like I only have 3 months to experience the league mods vs. Lab which is a permanent fixture in the game.
Just my .02 here but after getting my 6 ascendancy points, I see no reason to ever touch the lab again. Especially in HC. And 18 trials per character is a bit much imo. Having limited play time really nerfs my options when it comes to playing different builds.
Still loving the Perandus league though. P.S. Juggernaut so underrated. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/988f3369-4b68-4eb9-bc0e-edfce4c3c950

Glad to see the saboteur getting some love. Best portrait in the game.

" All difficulties. You are pretty much forced to complete, at a minimum, 9 zones without dying, crashing, or being kicked out. Even in hardcore you only have to worry about that in a zone by zone basis, not 9 of them at once (with a minimum of three boss battles to boot). Last edited by tmblake09 on Mar 18, 2016, 1:16:35 PM
