If the game as a whole has any theme, I'd say it was more like don't follow gods like fanatics. They're stupid and they're not immortal. Go kill them and take their power and go kill everything else while you're at it. (and a side theme of: humans are monsters)

I'm not too keen on the overall game's message in that regard, though I have nothing against destroying things that are perceived to be gods, or are called gods, but are not.

In this respect, they're telling us that as the devs of the game, they're not all-knowing all-powerful game creators that know best, and we should not fanatically follow them; in fact, we should rise up in revolt against the horrible labyrinth!


Yeah, I don't think that's their message either, but it's fun to make these comparisons.
The labyrinth is the beast, this thread is the work of the thaumaturgists and GGG is Sin then (?).

Putting Ascendancy points behind the Lab is total garbage game design. Name one other game where the entire play style changes for 1% of the game content and it's required if you wanted to max out something in this case a character? Zero trap or platform sections in the entire campaign or any of 100+ maps but it's thrown into a section to get enchants and Ascendancy points. Ridiculous.

Xavathos, I'm definitely with KiadawP on this one.

Labyrinth is loathsome not fun crap content that besmirches and insults GGG's good name. I speak for myself, for the good of PoE and therefore for all of us. :-)


I know you are, TD. I know what you think of the Lab. While unfortunate, I just can't agree that it's that bad. Something about water and wine, I believe...
