Dude, I do not know what do you smoke, but this is really strong stuff...

i have completely same right to have an opinion as you. and same way as you i dont have to provide any proofs.

so yes, labyrinth is best thing ever invented in arpg. even d3 incorporates some casual traps in map layouts, because it envies lab.
No rest for the wicked

WTF?
Where?
The most "trappy" thing in D3 is "use a lever to low the bridge" or something like that. Or "click on something" to activate a quest (similar to strongboxes/essence/etc).
Really put that stuff away for some time.
"War's over, soldier. You just don't know it yet. Everybody lost."

flame cannons and some cleavers pretty much oneshot at higher grifts.

I think Charan also mentioned that an promising upcoming indie arpg Wolcen has some trap dungeons or something.

Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

No, those are trap dungeons you create like van helsing. Some tower defense mini game probably. And definitely not locking character progression behind it.
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

I have early access to Wolcen and it does look promising. I can confirm what Pyrokar is saying; traps are planned to be part of territorial defenses put in place by players for consensual PvP.

There's not a word about locking character identity / progression behind trap gauntlets / arcade mini-games in Wolcen, which is part of what makes it promising.

How what Wolcen is doing with traps ever got conflated with lab in POE is a bit surprising.
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

Ah, that's what they've been doing, Charan only briefly mentioned some trap dungeons. Sounds interesting, but I suppose it can't flop worse than PvP in PoE... or D3, if we count not having one at all as a flop.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

To be onest... lab is something that stopped me from playing this game...

D3 has traps like the area turns red and you have 45 minutes to move AND it does not scale with gear, AND it's not a cock block, you hate the 4 traps randomly placed in the 1 level of a 6 level dungeon you just SKIP it.

D3 at this point does not require you to do any content you do not like.

Blizzard listens to their feedback.
