SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

I find it sad that the lab is so hated by so many, that there's a market for this. But we are all different in RNGesus' eyes.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

It's probably the most rewarding aspect of the lab, if not the only. To carry confused, inadequate, desperate players through the uber and see their tears of happiness at the end.

Days ago carried a bunch of those poor souls. With my offerings. One of them made it up at his fourth (!!!) attempt. He burst in tears when I pm'd him to enter the room.

I know, I know - God has prepared me a special place right next to him.

You're not helping them. If you die of an infection or something who will be there for them next season.

Sooner or later they need to either enjoy the full content or get a better game.

So, after all of this time you're getting behind what most of us have been vying for all along?
Better late than never, I guess.

Kudos, Phrazz for breaking through. Thought it wouldn't be possible with this one.

It's not what you're after and you know it. Please don't make me dig up your posts and quote you, because I would if that's what it takes.

You're mistaken. It is EXACTLY what I've been asking for.

I think that it's what almost everyone is asking for. It is why I don't include complaints about Izaro in the lists. My view is that most of the complaints about Izaro end up being that they just want an easier way to get the ascendancy points rather than a fun challenging way to get the points.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

Izaro is the only good thing about the lab. Challenging (to a certain degree/on some characters) and interesting fight. I would beat Izaro 50 times if it would mean that I could skip the rest of the lab.

If I could fight a harder version and NO TRAPS with no retarded penalty run back sure.

And if you are complaining about something that took you less than 10 mins in a video game that you spend tens of hours playing ( so I mean per character here ), that means that this behaviour is similar to one thing mostly :
A kid's tantrum

First of all, stop this childish way of debating. You know as well as me that we're not talking about "less than ten minutes".

Calling something that you have no actual good answers to "childish" I see .... I know that way of trying to derail an argument.
If it is not less than 10 mins, it likely means that there is a difficulty issue (Since you can beat it in 10 mins, if you are good at it).
It takes more time if you don't blow Izaro up, but everyone here seems to agree that Izaro fight isn't one of the complain, so the Izaro part becomes somewhat irrelevant here.

That means that it isn't just "boring".
It means that a player isn't really good at it, but calls it "boring" with the "But I have no problem, it's not difficult !".
Which is a lie then.

Which brings us back to my previous point ( might be easier to understand now ) :

If it would take you less than 10 mins per lab, you would not care.
But it does not, because maybe you're not as good as you think you are but ... you don't want to face the facts.

The trials outside of maps take like no time, seriously, it's super short and only once per league.
Let's take the prison one, it takes what ... 2 mins max ? And with monsters on the way of course.

People are frustrated because they cannot completely overgear the traps ( even though skill beats those ), so they call it boring, refusing to admit that there is a difficulty issue.
If there is absolutely no difficulty issue, then the labs it takes less than 10 mins ( or let's say 15 if you prefer, the point remains ).
I see people that face an obstacle, and refuse to give anny effort to overcome it.
( and then I am waiting for "but it's a video game !!! it's for fun, why would I do efforts in something that is supposed to be fun ?!!!! It's work !!!" nonsense )

You took his bait again ... that's not worth it, honestly.
Some people's bad faith really does seem limitless.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Why are you quoting me? I didn't type that, your buddy did.

It is NOT difficulty issue. It's a being bored of terrible game design issue.

Sorry, but you are simply wrong about this. There is a laundry list of complaints which have nothing to do with improving your skill. I don't think I need to rehash them.

Of course, the complaint needs to have at least something to do with skill or knowledge, obviously enough, you won't see 'git good' on a 'give us back the globe girls' thread.

Why did you suddenly assume I wasn't talking specifically about the Labyrinth?
