SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]
" Yeah to reiterate the lab is a gigantic pain that feels completely wrong for this game. I have absolutely zero fun doing it. It's just something I endure every difficulty to get my points. I don't really have trouble doing lab in terms of difficulty, but I just can't wait to get it over with to do something actually enjoyable in the game. |

" Yes, and many people (more than 682, that is just how many that have been counted in this Feedback and Suggestions forum) have voiced something similar. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I see your points and I do understand why you don't like it. Thanks you for reading and taking the time to write a constructive response. :)
However I still can't agree with you. I think it was a good change of pace to regular, bland rehashed maps with a different puppet at the end that end-game currently is. I do enjoy it, don't mistake my feedback for criticism, but if they introduced lab that way, it would be bland and disappointing imo. I don't think it changes core gameplay at all. It's still very much an aRPG, just with traps and a different stage of maps to traverse. I'm glad they take steps like this outside their comfort zone, for better or worse. We will just have to agree to disagree on this one. I do hope for you that you get them to listen to your feedback, your suggestions are solid. I've had my share of "my" lab. Maybe it's time for a change. :) Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

I'm just going to add to the post count.
I'm against the lab from the start and I think it should be reworked from the ground up. TBH: the game is going downhill since patch 2.0 and the Atlas of World expansion is like a lab but for maps. GGG maybe thinking they making cool stuff, but instead they are pushing their loyal and long term players away from the game, due to bad design choices. YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions
Lab still sucks balls. I miss Zana already. |

" Let me start by saying i agree the lab should not have been mandatory for ascendancy. this is a major downside because 1. nothing else in the game has a mandatory reward (Ascendancy) that you cannot do without. 2. The lab itself has no portal which is way to punishing for regular/softcore players who choose softcore for a reason. 3. the Uber izaro final phase is a tiny room with traps everywhere where a single mistake costs you your life and forces you to start all over again. However stating that everything went downhill since 2.0 is just plain bullshit. Atlas was added specifically for veterans/ non casual players so they could keep track of how far they have progressed in maps and also gives an increased rate to drop higher tier maps as you unlock more maps. You may not be aware but Path of exile has been getting More popular every year. This year has the highest player base in the history of poe. |

" I will only respond once, as I do not wish to spam this thread with other issues. Atlas, is not a way to track progress, atlas is a way to slow down progression in end game through map gating. The bonus for completion is meaningless until you reach a 100%+ values. It does not add anything to the game and although I like the design (aka the looks) of atlas, I do not think that its beneficial to players in any way. Unless they will remove the drop restrictions (aka, if you unlock a t1 map any t1 map can drop and so on) it will not be anything more than nuance forcing people to buy maps to progress. It does not in away way was put in place for veterans. YES I support the game, NO I don't agree with many GGG decisions Lab still sucks balls. I miss Zana already. " All 3 ponts are defeat by the fact that you can simply overlevel the first 3 labs and faceroll the entire thing. Uber lab is hard, but if you are going to say the last 2 points are mandatory, ill say it is no more mandatory than the last passives you get at levels 95+, these are also gated behind a no death condiction because a single death there will erase weeks worth of exp and i dont see people complaining about that. Really, if i were to complain about lab is that it takes too long, the silver doors are just a waste of time and the entire thing just have too many key factors that are completely rng based: The different daily layouts are too imbalanced both on izaro dificulty and on the time it will take to finish the whole stuff and yeah... that enchantment pool at the end... if youre looking to get bonus for a specific skill, youll learn to hate that pool in no time Other than those problems, the lab is fine, having a place that we cant just walk over mindlessly is a good change of pace and if you dont want to deal with it, just overlevel it. |

The lab and trials are stupid and generally causes me to stop playing sooner when I encounter them or after doing them to progress my character.

The lab should take the average person 15 min or less to complete. Even if you enter at the level of the zone it shouldn't take anything longer then that. Learning something new might be hard for people like you, but learning which is the fastest way or what areas are dead ends will save you significant amount of time.

" You're not alone. It spoils what in many ways is an ok game otherwise. |
