Quitting PoE after years due to Labyrinth System
" You are correct and they will see the numbers and dont let him/her get to you have faith GGG will balance I do hope they keep the hardcore state in some form but the reality is its to hard for most players and needs work, If you need any assistance with it being the state that it is currently to get the full enjoyment out of the game I can help you on standard when i get home : ) in the meantime i suggest just to stop feeding the trolls they are here they are fanboys and they are hungry for any critics who respond negatively to what they deem as "BEST CONTENT EVAR" and keep posting things that negatively impact you as a player so they have things to look at and threatening to leave is not really constructive or giving GGG a chance to balance out the new aspects. |

" I never said that. Nor I dismiss the arguments. But give me the arguments, and not another passive-aggressive pulp. I'm trying to discuss stuff here - you may not like the way I argue, and how I write, but I'm trying to have some points. I do not mean offense, nor I call YOU anything. Because I'm here to talk about PoE, and not about people behind the opinions. You, on the other hand, feel the burning need to name-call and label people for their opinions. @JacobJackel Sorry if you found the way I argue and write offensive - I did not intended it to be. But at the same time, please, take a while and look at your own posting. You did not show respect you are asking for yourself. :S As you said, I'm always trying to look at the whole spectrum of players - not only those min/maxers and god-tier crafters. I'm a casual myself. But at the same time I want something I enjoy a lot to stay. I don't enjoy Atziri, but I can see why some people are. I won't call for changes to Atziri, because I don't want to ruin their fun. Mirror/eternals? I never had a mirror. Would I call for Mirror removal? No. Some people go to that level, and me not getting something doesn't mean I can ruin other peoples fun. So overall, in my opinion, reactions to labyrinth are mostly overreactions. " I want clarification, what did you hate the most about it? Not a single trap in the lab is lethal. not a one. they are all built around taking a % of your life. so you can technically run the traps in merci with a pathetic life pool. you might get a few dangerous combinations of traps. but other than that it is a pretty straight forward affair. And izaro is dangerous pretty much exclusively to melee and low hp ranged builds. if you need someone to run you through the laby just to progress, then just ask. it is a pretty well established strategy to skip the lab until you complete a difficulty and then come back to it later. progression doesn’t have to be so strictly linear. " So, lets make Lab harder, I suppose? Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

" I gave you my arguments, but you dismiss those as you don't like them. And I haven't called YOU anything personally. Please also stop telling about my burning needs, you are quite far from knowing those :D But as I wrote above, whatever, no point to discuss more and there is no need, as... Half week after, life shows, that arguments about "build awareness", "skill needed", "FoTM copiers", "end of glass cannon builds" are just wrong, as there are popping up numerous videos, showing that fastest Lab farmers are FoTM glass cannons builds, whirling through the traps or taking them up the face through their bubbling flask. Or just up the face. Once this novelty calms down, I foresee, that mostly Lab runs will be done by Chinese farmers going for enchantments for sale. And one more time my supported pack funds will go for something I can't find fun in, the same as for this famous "PvP development" and we all see how it ended. Anticipation slowly dissipates... From my perspective the labyrinth is a total bore. I thought Mario Brothers was a boring game and so didn't play it. I love PoE and have played it almost daily for years now. However, the labyrinth is not an ARPG type game play. I find the labyrinth boring frustrating and just tedious. Unfortunately this is now part of the game that I used to really enjoyed playing. If I wanted to play a labyrinth style game I would be playing something else besides PoE. More power to players that enjoy labyrinth play, but, it is a different style play and it seems strange to me that if I don't like that kind of game that I'm being forced to play this boring nonsense (in my point of view) because I liked playing the ARPG game that was PoE. This addition to the game was obviously a big effort, unfortunately it detracts from the game play rather than adding to it. A sad failure in my opinion.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I ran the Labyrinth only once so far. Got hit by alot of traps. My first taste was kinda bad, didn't die, but not because of skill - I was like a bull in a china shop.
Yet, people I know whom have run them more seem to really like them. And I think that says something. Perhaps they are something I could get used to, and grow to like... But I don't think they should be anything but optional content. They should exist. Clearly some people like them. The Leader-board thing could be cool. Enchantments could be cool... (A couple passive points on skill tree that could buff enchantments could be cool.) But what if we could get the ascendancy points just from completing the difficulty? What if they were optional for those that don't care for them. Seems like that would be the best of both worlds - play how you like. Just buff the drops in the Labyrinth and move Ascendancy out from it. |

" +1 Points behind Malachai would solve it all. Then would actually have reason to complete the game before mapping, at the same, unlike now (is odd), and those liking labyrinth could do it and be rewarded with enchantments also. Hard to see any negative side-effect with this. |
