Labyrinth,the worst content ever made in POE?

I keep dying and dying and dying from this nonsense. It's not fun. It's not fun to risk being disconected and having to start all over again. It's not fun to die from traps. Since I can't progress the game by getting ascendancy points, I'm seriously considering just quitting the game. It's not fun to be forced to do this nonsense.

Please make it optional.

Standard doesn't mean much to me, and doesn't mean much to GGG either. It has been the trash pile of balance since forever. Beside an obvious show off, what are you even trying to say? Uber Izaro is too easy? Like farming him with your "armed to the teeth" toon in standard make your point valid? Or the reward can be really good? I never say it can't be good either, but many of us won't waste a good gaming time just to have something to put the tag 100 ex on.

On a side note, the majority of the "lab defender" are playing THAT build. It's funny when they abuse a broken skill and tell everyone to "git gud", "L2P". It is a normal behavior: You tend to say "oh lab is fine" because of the satisfaction of doing it comfortably. I don't blame people for rushing to BV, but just try to have a fair look at other builds. Not that we're bad; we're just not using an OP skill.

NOt even close. Talismans were. Had to collect a page full to get a shitty ammy a 20c ammy could beat.


Lab are pretty salvageable. like more deterministic craft..like leveling with you so you get some exp..like portals so you can trade like any other map.

so now rewards' quality and 'validity' depends on a league you play? wut? standard is alive and kicking - it always was and it will be because it gives us (the standard players) peace of mind. ability to play whatever we want - no matter how stupid/bad/crazy it is - because we are already loaded and do not have to think 'if this build will be good enough to earn me some dough so i can play something more broken'.

you say the economy is broken in standard? id say that it is pretty much the same cesspool as any league on day 5 and onwards. with the nice touch that the gaming corporations (VOC and co) play leagues leaving us scrubs to simply play the game. the balance in standard is just as bad as in leagues. we have the same FOTM builds you know. most current FOTM builds do not count on legacies so standard or not - it makes no difference

as for the build.. i farm uber izi on my (wait for it) moltenstrike 100% elemental MELEE character. i do argus and buffed izaro (except essences and/or charges). yesterday i even did him twice with (wait for it part 2) TWO HANDED GLACIAL HAMMER dude. any build can do him. some ofc are easy one-clicks but if i can do it with 4.9hp as a melee-as-it-gets then anyone can do it.

and the most rewarding thing about it is the fact that it currently is pretty much the only content that is fun, challenging (in a fair way - not some cheap 1shots) and can be played in few equally viable ways (speedruns, farming keys, just farming - lab uniques are pretty..)


as for the 'its standard, 1c' comment - there wont be any reply.. the +1 curse volls is also 1c because 'it is standard'?

While it is true that many value Season way more then standard that doesn't mean standard is bad.
For me it's a place where i can try out different stuff without looking at every single exalted orb. I simply buy the stuff I want.
Season is way more hard in terms of realizing a build.
Fortunately playing season resulted in quite some items I could sell in Standard.
So I can afford a Headhunter for example after prophecy season.

I am a bit disappointed that we do have something like Labyrinth. It's something that does not match to Path of Exile.
Yet again it's not so bad that I quit playing since it's not mandatory endgame grinding. You need it for the points and maybe a few more times for the right enchantments but that's about it.

If you dislike it that much quit playing it then. In the end GGG is greatly interested in expanding and when many leave the game this should be a clear sign..

Anyways I stay and quietly wait for a mirror of Kalandra :P

Play what you like but truth is truth, GGG balance the game with league in mind. You could stop trying to defend standard like a sensitive girl and go back to the main topic of lab for now.

Your "I killed him easy with this ..." brag is so laughable. Playing a build with tons of physical mitigation and you could slowly tickle Izaro to death. EQ, Molten Strike, Ice Crash, whatever... The classes are not made of Champions and Jug alone, just so you know.

Did I struggle in Uber lab? Thanks to Chaos golem, AA, Cloak of Flame, Enfeeble and the Granite + Basalt combo, I could also join the "Uber Izaro is easy" group. But being able to call it easy doesn't mean I enjoy it either. The complains are still: lab is tedious, arcade setup has no place in ARPG, Izaro is poorly design with half Kaom half Daresso attack. Are you unable to see those? Or did the reward make you blind already?

You should also think more about "fair, not cheap 1 shot" statement you brought up. Eva/Dodge build might have some words here. Creating a somewhat mandatory content that's so bias toward a group of builds and totally shit on the others is fair, I guess?

To the guy saying "if you don't like, just quit": I don't quit for just a portion of game content as I enjoy the rest. Doesn't change my opinion about lab though. I hate every second I gotta be in it and after grabbing my last 2 points, I can say adios to that crap forever... till I make another char (oh snap).
