Labyrinth, the worst content ever made in POE?

Labrynth is too easy in normal cruel and merciless, but the boss, trial, and trap difficulty in maps are just right. The last end game content update that was at all fun for me personally, prior to uber lab, was atziri. I absolutely love map labrynth I think it is perfect. If the trials and trap sections were just a little more challenging in normal, cruel and merciless it would be my favorite content in Poe.

The addition of uber lab in maps is the first time since ambush I have actually had fun playing a character in maps because it actually feels like I am progressing, and the fact that a DC or death makes you restart the lab is really fun IMO; It gives the fights and traps a good level of stress and forces you to stay engaged even in softcore.

I understand that if you have a bad internet connection or a low end PC that the traps are frustrating, but unfortunately that is just a fact of online gaming. You are at a huge and frustrating disadvantage if you are in this position. You having a bad computer or crap internet connection does not make the labrynth a bad design.

I have ping of 24-40 ms and a pretty OK computer (I have none of the problems that people complain about with general lag except in party play).

But sometimes I still desync (in fucking lockstep) back onto a trap.

Why?

It's a shit design, shoehorned into the wrong kind of game.
Quoting Saltychipmunk:
...I look at the new act 5 boss where you have to hide behind the statues to survive the bullet hell and all I can think is... how the fuck are zombies going to survive that?

They don't know what hiding is... they don't know what dodging is... they are morons.

Decided to do normal labyrinth for second time.In my first attemp,i was near done, then i dc-ed.second time again, near done, the i got msg operation timed out.almost 2 hours of torture for nothing.I'm done with this shit.

Same shit here. first izaro fight (final fight) i got disconnected, second final izaro fight i got suddenly high ping. during the one hour i was in the labyrinth my ping was just normal (20-40ms). meanwhile it sucks really.
Nearly everytime i do the lab i dc, absolute bullshit

While people propose to either change the types of challenges and/or layout design of the Labyrinth, no one proposes what to bind Ascendancy acquisition to when suggesting it not be bound to the Labyrinth.

Oh yes they do. There is a whole cry baby thread about all the things people would rather see AC bound to instead of the lab; it's really quite pathetic that people can't fathom doing something they don't like to get something they want. The worst part about it is the people that complain have the least lab experience and my own experience with it has been that it get's a little more fun each time you do it. At the very least it get's a lot less tedious once you know what you're doing.

Excuse me, but we already are doing that in real life way more than we should, so us casuals might not feel the impulse to do it even in a "fun" video game too...

GGG made nice content, and Labyrinth is really nice, but the newly introduced lag/desync/disconnects/low FPS when using skills etc. and in some cases even the traps are not helping either. I would not have a problem with the trap gameplay if they were everywhere, or made destructible, as it stands now they should just offer an alternate solution to face the Labyrinth and Izaro. It's not funny to feel the traps more punitive than the monsters, and it's even worse to feel the technical problems combined with them to punish you for wanting to have fun playing a video game...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...
Lab is a boring tedious experience that locks your ascendancy points behind doing it. While the first 3 were doable by every build, the final one is not. That is what made quit playing this league. I won't be coming back if this doesn't get changed. There are plenty of other games where the developers respect their players. How many feel the same way?

Well, I've been playing PoE for about three years now. I've donated many hundreds of dollars. I thought this is the perfect game for me. I thought, I can play this indefinitely, why not donate more? It was the greatest game I ever played, until they introduced trap game play. I'm not donating another penny, unless they make the boring tedious and not fun labyrinth optional. I've started playing other games sometimes. It's only a matter of time that PoE will be uninstalled, if this isn't fixed.

Regarding your question as too how many feel the same way. It's hard to tell but I suspect that GGG has some reports that give a good indication.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
^ I don't think they intend the Map Lab to be doable for most build either. However, the reward of it, which directly affects the character (instead of just an item drop like Vinktar or Atziri) makes it feel compulsory.

Each build has certain strength and weakness thus forcing all into fighting an 1-shot boss and dodging traps is just straight up stupid and against the core of the game: support choices and diversity. For example, I see Arc build having NO CHANCE to kill uber Izaro without switching to the unoptimized Storm Call/Lightning Tendrils.

I used to do Atziri/Uber service with no fee at all cuz I enjoy it and do it for fun. I can't see myself doing the same with Lab, and certainly not because it is much harder. Most of us who were able to do map lab probably won't ever do it again, not because we are scare of failing, but because the reward after the 1st time can not overcome that hassle, the tediousness that it brings. It is certainly a challenge, but a poorly designed one.

Gotta agree that GGG don't really respect and listen to the players. Map lab is their middle finger in the face to many people in the community, who already fed up with the 3x stupid labs in 2.2.
Lab is one of the best, most interesting and refreshing content that has been added in POE.
