" if u consider that 3rd party bulshitery as trading ... ok but i dont, i see using 3rd party programs as boting/cheating as in ewery other games i have played poe DONT have working trade system,... i could say the have none at all trade chat is useles, full of spamers, imposible to trade here searching for something for good price on forum without 3rd party programs is imposible but because GGG is lazy in this direction they let it running... " Except you can't buy just 60 points. You can only buy them in groups of 50. Not to mention some of us can barely afford to eat ramen while living at their parent's house because they can't find a job. (And believe me, I'm trying. I'm even working with my state's Vocational Rehabilitation system for help.) |

" It's not true, you can mail support and they will let you buy as many points as you want, without buying them in packs. Unfortunately officially shop has only those 50-100-200 packs, but in fact you can buy even 1. Or maybe you need to buy at least 1 pack, I don't know. But you can buy 60 or 110 if you want, that's for sure. Last edited by Gosen#5296 on Mar 2, 2016, 6:18:03 AM

" I support the microstransaction upgrade response from GGG. I already have a lot of premiums, but will upgrade my normal ones now to say thank you. It would be nice to hear more replies from GGG in terms of the future of trading. This has been the topic on the news announcements that had the most replies, which should tell GGG something. I do not mind giving GGG $ for a great game, and like me others feel the same, and like me they feel that way simply because of the ethos of the f2p model they adopted, and as such we hold up that ethos for all other game companies to follow. As such I encourage anyone who can spare a little to purchase an upgrade today to say thank you! |

I have played many games over the years and saw a trend and with that Trend more and more Ftp started gating things. People always say the same dam thing " No one is forcing you to pay or to play" Here is the thing though, when a company says it would not gate things behind a paywall that is essential for the game and the company decides to do it.. what do you think will happen next? Trading is one major downfall in this great game. I love for it to be improved for all to use. Not just those that pay. I am not saying this really is a play to win game but this first wave is good and bad. Good that GGG is trying to make an effort, bad because they broke their own ethical code for fair transactions. When company's start breaking their own standard there is a problem. When the company do not see how this is a problem guess what? I move on.
I am not hating on the improvements nor the time it took them to actually acknowledge that TRADING is crap in this game. I know it's the first wave blah blah blah, but how long did they take to get to a point where they had to do something for trading? 3 long years. 3rd-party anything is a BIG NO. People are making the mistake its about the money. IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY FOR SOME. It is the principle of a gaming company doing what they said they would never do and without further word on why they did it. Have a good day all and please try not bash people for their opinions. |

I didn't care too much about this change till the moment that they place, on the day after of the announcement, a promotion on premium tabs.
I would say that all this mess might impact GGG and Path of Exile reputation on the long run. I don't believe that many people will stop playing now, since on Friday there is an expansion coming. In the long run, if people will get the feeling that they are in disadvantage over other players, they might just switch to another game (let's be honest, there is dozens of games similar to POE). My opinion on this change is that this is as much P2W as the normal stashes. A player with 4 stashes has disadvantage over one with 8. I don't see that much big deal, since the difference is very little. Just one advice, money you can get from one day to another. Reputation, you can lose all in 1 day. Games like this live from reputation, not from money (if you have a large player base and a good reputation in the market you can easily get money from investors, banks, etc.). |

" In all honesty, even if this was the first and the last thing they would ever do to improve trading, everybody would benefit from it one way or another. Even if you are among those who do not own premium tabs, you will still a be part of the improvement, because the more people can sell items comfortably, the cheaper and faster they will be available for you to buy and play with. This is one thing that many players here seem to miss. As far as the "first wave blah blah blah" goes, yeah, they sure have been waiting to do something, but once they start doing something it's still not good enough, as far as the general responses in this threat are considered. Make of that what you will... Stash tabs have always been an advantage of sorts, now that they are a hot topic everybody starts complaining about something that was a part of the game for years on end, and all of that because they now add utility to something that simply looked fancy until now. If I went over a couple posts in this threat, trading seemed to be nearly impossible for most people all the time, still they managed to get what they wanted. This looks like a lot of overreacting to me. And I'll say it once more: As far as major updates to the game are considered, nobody has been left out so far. So why is it that suddenly everybody goes crazy about it? I also have a lot of problems with that "pay to win" point of view. What is it that you expect to be "winning" in the first place? The only actual forms of competition in poe are racing and PVP, none of which are directly influenced by the amount of stash tabs one owns, if at all. So, aside of racing and PVP, we are all along for the same ride anyways, and the improvement in question changes nothing about that.
It's just, like, people's opinions, man.
But I cannot respect motherf♪♫♫♪rs calling something a simulator, when it isn't one.
Mors edited this post first. |

Also I can almost surely tell what exactly will be in the next waves.
1. Ability to search items in public tabs through either in-game UI or official website 2. Ability to make & accept offers cross instance / through website (even offline) How do I know this? " Post by Chris Wilson from 2 years ago. Public stash tabs are already done. So next waves not only not make it better for regular tabs, but actually make it worse, because when this new trade system will be complete - it will make sites like poe.trade mostly obsolete. Also I like that nowhere in the Chris post it's mentioned, that public tabs will be exclusive feature of premium tabs. GJ. Last edited by DemonikPath#1311 on Mar 2, 2016, 8:24:55 AM
